We had an extremely good night with good basic food and yes we shall go again.

Never been here before...had a great night with great food and live music...bar staff and server Hannah were very attentive and friendly...if you haven’t been try it!

Had an all day session at this really nice bar! Food was really good and plenty of it, kids meals were huge for what we paid for and kids loved them! Just a good atmosphere to the place, would struggle for space in winter as alot of seats outside, but is brilliant for a warm or cloudy day! And peaky blinder whiskey and the copius amounts of gin went down a treat!!

Great place to meet and eat, started off a bit weak but has now moved to another level. Food is awesome and now they have a porter to support the great food. In my eyes the best place to eat in May Bank.

Fab meal, thanks- we ordered lots of small plates so as to create a ‘tapas’ style meal. All really delicious, especially the garlic mushrooms and chimichurri chicken. Large portions! Be warned. Great service and atmosphere. One thing though: change to paper straws, please?!

Cracking place for family’s friends to eat drink and be bloody merry! Love it!

Christmas meal with friends Saturday evening. Although busy the service was good and the waiter very polite.

Food was superb, great atmosphere and was pleasantly surprised by the choice of beer.

Will recommend and return.....

Chap behind the bar was brilliant,food was as always amazing. Waitress was polite and checked numerous times if we were happy with everything. Then the chef popped out to see if we were happy! How can anyone not love this place?

Booked a table midweek in The Shed

Really surprised at how busy it was.

There was a young lad singing/playing guitar, brilliant. Great atmosphere.

We had a meal . On the special was baked camembert starter. Beautiful.

The Gin choice was amazing, will be returning to try more.

The only negative thing was, our table was close to the toilets alongside a long table in front of the window. Everyone someone went to the loo I constantly had to keep moving my chair to allow them to pass.

Just a little frustrating when I was eating.

I thoroughly enjoyed my evening though and will defo be returning.

Beautiful food; lovely staff; great gin choices; great cosy atmosphere and 2 minutes walk from my house.

I have been back this week after having been refused a drink the previous week. Service was good and the chips are the best I’ve tasted. Glad we came back Shaun and Jacqui but would still appreciate an apology.

Bee’s Knees gin cocktail was great! Bit slow on food order, but it was really busy. Tapas worth waiting for - delicious �

Have to say was disappointed to day with Sunday lunch booked a table at 12.30 to be told once there we could not order our food until after one even once ordered it was a long wait and to say I was so disappointed once it arrived frozen peas soggy cabbage beef was fatty and a small amount of potatoes not greedy but it was like a child's dinner been a few times and it's been nice but after today will not be booking in for Sunday lunch again �

Totally disappointed with the service we received yesterday. After booking a table for 2pm with 4 friends it was very quite and we were the only ones there. Me thinking great we will be well looked after then! How wrong could I have been. We walked in and weren't even greeted with a smile and it felt as if we were some sort of inconvenience. They just told us where our table was and no one came over to us the whole time we were there. We weren't sure whether it was table service or order at the bar no one had the decency to let us know. We decided to go and eat else where. We won't be returning I'm quite sad about it considering it's local to us.

Really disappointed. This is my 3rd visit and before now I've loved the place but today, what a totally different experience. I thought I'd take my step daughter for lunch as I don't see her very often. I'd told her about this great little place we'd found. On arrival, it was fairly busy but there were still several empty tables. After clearing a table ourselves, I went to place our order. After 35 minutes our hot drinks arrived! When the meals were finally cooked (a good 45 minutes later) one meal was brought out. The girl serving was then stopped by some newly arrived customers to clean their table. Instead of saying I will be back shortly, and continue to bring my meal out, she decided to clean their dirty table. She then went straight back to the kitchen door, reached in for my meal and brought it over. By this time I can honestly say my meal was cold and on top of that, the very burnt toast had been buttered on the good side to hide it. I took the toast back to the bar and waited for my fresh toast to arrive. It never did!! I'm very disappointed at this place. It serves lovely food when hot but today is a massive let down.

Rang got a table ordered food then had a reserve board put on our table for 8pm for someone else at this point it was 7.30 pm and our food hadn’t come. We were told not to worry and no need to rush but when it’s 7.55 pm u have just finished eating and u got the next guests giving u angry eyes cause your on their table safe to say u will not digest your food! Left half my drink, no time for dessert won’t be going again! I like to relax not choke. Terrible organisation.

We have been to here previously and had no problems. Unfortunately we have just called in for lunch and have had to turn around and go elsewhere. I am a vegetarian and therefore ordered the Glamorgan sausages and chips.we were then told that these were no longer available due to a menu change, although these were the menu change. We asked what was the new alternative vegetarian option. “We have the veggie breakfast” with the aforementioned Glamorgan sausages!! When asked can you not just use these sausages with chips, we were told in no uncertain terms this was not possible. Unfortunately what we hoped would become a regular first port of call for a quick lunch has really put us off and we will probably not be returning
