What a beautiful pub in superb surrounding. Staff very friendly. Got a table with an excellent view without any bother at all. The food is a very good quality. Will definitely go back. Highly recommend you try this. Oh enjoy your walk up to The dam lol

We had a fabulous time when we went for Sunday dinner (11th February) with the family for my husbands birthday. Meals were great, waitress was very attentive and polite. We will definitely go again and it’s definitely worth a visit if you’ve never been 👍

Lovely country pub. You get a very good welcome from the staff when you walk in, nothing too much trouble. Had a table in the window with a fabulous view. And the food is delicious, steak and ale pie yum yum and chips to die for. Will definitely be going back and taking friends.

Fabulous country pub with fabulous views and beer garden, we always visit when staying at our daughters house in nearby Walsden,there is at least ten of us visit in our immediate family,atmosphere food and drink Awsome and the staff very friendly especially the manager Gareth who goes out of his way to please.Looking forward to our next visit 👍👍🍻🍻

Excellent service & food, they were fully booked and we didn’t have a booking, the girl behind bar found us a table to eat and then got us some drinks and a table in the bar whilst table cleaned and set, very attentive staff who could not do enough to help us out.

After not being in here for many years. Been in tonight with the wife and 4 year old son for the third time in the last month or two. Safe to say its a restaurant on the up and up, Food was superb again, and staff very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Would definetly recommend it for a family meal.

yes it was very busy. yes they had enough staff. yes they failed to please. waited over an hour for food. had to spur them on three times. otherwise I'd still be waiting. food served....1 meal short. food wasn't bad but it didn't live up to the price. I'm local but won't be going again anytime soon. sorry about the bad review but I can't afford to make mistakes at work. neither should you.

Me and my friend came in yesterday for some food. The waitress made us feel really bad about not booking a table, she mentioned at least 3 times we should have booked. We felt really uncomfortable and wondered whether to leave, the only reason we didn't leave is because we were both starving after being out all day. There were spare tables in the bar area which we sat at, we ordered drinks and then moved to another available table as there was a draft and we were both cold being next to the door. The waitress then made us feel guilty about moving tables, we were actually laughing afterwards at how awkward it was. Other than the service of the one particular waitress, others were fine, the food was lovely and could not be faulted.

Lovely views, friendly staff, food was nice but service was slow ... that said it was a beautiful sunny day so we didn't much care.

Shocking service, went for tea last night table booked for 5:15 one of the main courses missed off, food was alright. Finished our mains at 8:00, didn’t stop for a desert as it was Sunday and we all had work the following day and I personally like to be in bed for 10:00pm. Very poor. I’m sure they will get the hang off it eventually though. Just give it a couple of weeks

Poor service had a waitress who had the customer service skills of a 3 year old child, my friend ordered the home made steak pie waited 45 mins for it to be made fresh, found a bouquet Garni bag in her pie that she almost ate, only bonus was free tea bag with the pie for when we drove the 45 mins Home never again, my other friends medium steak was cremated like a body in the crematorium, ashes to ashes other than that waitress told us not to be sick if we were ordering shots who advises customers not to spend money, overall worst place ever, if your looking for good food and personality go to the McDonalds drive through !!
