User

Went for Sunday lunch, staff are lovely and friendly. Nothing too much trouble, meal massive, even in laws smaller option was huge. Great taste, booked again in the week. Good value for money.

User

We went in yesterday and it was Excellent service food was delicious and great value for your money . I would say much better the last year must have been busy as was sticky on the chairs and food on the floor . A1 today would recommend we enjoyed our experience well done to all in this establishment

User

We had a lovely day out yesterday and stumbled across the ship Inn, the staff were lovely everyone was so helpful about all the allergys my son has and my wheat allergy, we managed to all eat out as a family!!!!!!! Food was very yummy, the children asked this morning if we could go back for dinner tonight.

User

We came to Weymouth for the seafood festival, took up the beer and cheese tasting at the Ship Inn on Saturday 14th 11.30am all the proceeds went to

Air ambulence charity we really enjoyed Toby and Marks insight into their Badgers beer the cheeses they picked out complemented them really well.

The ship Inn is in a lovely location by the Harbour.

User

Popped in yesterday for a coffee with a wet and sandy puppy. Very welcoming, even allowing us to sit inside, will definitely be returning. Thank you😊🐶

User

Popped in today for a drink and a bite to eat at lunch time! Was a bit miffed at lying £6 for a sandwhich but it was honestly the best sandwich I’ve ever had staff are always helpful, welcoming and on top of the cleanliness of the pub! Tables cleared quickly and service was quick too!

User

Monday 23rd October we had a family meal at the Ship. I chose Tiger prawns and rump steak with fondant potatoes off the specials board and my meal was the best meal I have eaten out anywhere. The steak was cooked perfectly and was so soft and the fondant potatoes cooked in garlic butter were fab. This is the 3rd time we have eaten there and always have a great meal.

User

Lovely venue to watch the world go by.

User

Lovely venue right on the Harbour.

We were lucky enough to sample lunch and dinner, superb food on both occasions.

Lovely clean cutlery and menus

Friendly staff and great service, thank you.

User

User

Lovely food and atmosphere and very dog friendly x

User

Just had a meal here. Valentine's Day, with my girls. I am so impressed. We're not local and are staying in Weymouth for the night. Highly recommend this restaurant. Staff super friendly and helpful and all compliments to the Chef. Our meals were all top class. Nothing but positives here.

User

Just celebrated my friends wedding here. Staff were excellent and could not do enough to ensure the wedding guests were looked after.Thank you for accommodating my allergy needs and the simplest little things like a peppermint tea when I was feeling the effects of my previous nights shift. It went a long way! Highly recommend!!

User

It was cold and wet outside and the staff were immediately friendly and helpful to our group including 2 Jack Russell terriers. Great cocktails. Fair prices. Good venue.

User

Had a lovely plough mans here on 2/5/18

User

User

User

First visit this evening. Was far far better than the typical pub grub menu. Beautifully different than the prawn cocktail I was expecting. Mains were excellent too. Great staff and service, no rush. Very welcoming

User

Fantastic! Would highly recommend to anyone wanting good food, good service and a good atmosphere :)

User

Fantastic food in a beautiful setting, sat in the courtyard to eat, we both had the gammon steaks and asked to have both fried eggs and pineapple, was no problem. Highly recommend here

User

Called sat pm for a few drinks to get out of the cold after a long walk had a brill time just a shame the log fire was not going as there were plenty of logs to burn

User

Brought my 8mth old puppy for the 1st time today (def not my 1st time here though) for lunch. Fantastic food and staff as always #dogfriendly

User

Brilliant pub! Nice 🍷, 🍺 and cider. Really lovely staff. Very dog friendly- even down to the dog ice cream and treats on the bar. The huskies loved it. Will definitely return x

User

Had a lovely meal, was very nice of you to squeeze us in as was a very busy evening. Our waiter went the extra mile too,as what we chose had a few special preps Thankyou

User

Food and drink great, staff good too just not enough of them.

User

Can't say I ever had a bad meal here.

It is a very busy pub , and always a nice atmosphere.

Came in yesterday because weather wasn't brilliant to sit outside.

The only thing I would say was that it was a bit to warm inside.

It's nice to be warm but I was rossting.

All in all a good pub.

And a popular pub.

User

Busy pub restaurant, with good menu and unrushed pleasant relaxed service. We had a great meal for 7, everybody happy, have been before and will come again . . .

User

Been coming here for years, great place but £4.90 a pint???!!!!

User

Very disappointed . Service was not good enough

User

A nice place and conveniently located. The drinks are very expensive.

User

£12.80 for two (single) gin & tonics - and if you can’t decorate your toilets at least clean them! Shame as the atmosphere is good.

User

We last came in 2015 on holiday and had a fantastic anniversary meal. The food was great quality as well as great value hense our decision to return to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. This evening's experience was nothing like that of our last visit. Food was poor, small portions and over priced. Microwaved mushy peas with the fish and chips. Burger buns toasted to a crisp with the burger itself dry and grey meat. We were directed to the specials board for desserts but were disappointed to find that 2 of those choices not available. One dessert had to be sent back as it was clearly microwaved, dry and tasted funny. We were a party of 4, 2 adults and 2 children and left £92 lighter for fish and chips and burger and chips x 3, drinks and 3 desserts! This ship has sailed

User

Distinctly average. Not desperately busy but the service was extremely slow, a good job we weren’t dying of thirst or hunger when we ordered...had to chase our pre-dinner drinks after ten minutes, starters arrived a good half-hour after ordering. My wife enjoyed her steak pie but my fish & chips were not memorable. Not good value for money, unfortunately. I’ve seen lots of good reviews for The Ship but they didn’t justify them on our visit last night.

User

Very rode staffs not friendly at all. Never come back here again!! Bad service!!

User

Never known a pub to have 5 rude people behind a bar with one (inexperienced) serving - waited 10 minutes before giving up.

User

I regularly go to the ship, but not again after last night. Having informed the waitress that I was going for a smoke in the courtyard, leaving my complimentary glass of wine, that I had been given as it came half hour after I ordered it, and the sweet menu that I wanted to choose from having finished my main course, to find the table had been cleared and two people sat there perusing the menu. Asked what had happened to my wine, the waitress went to ask the two people to move, no explanation as to what had happened so I decided just to pay my bill, don't know why because I had become invisible!! No apology given, not good service at all.
