We were greeted by very friendly staff on arrival. The food was exceptional. Looking around, the place was full so we didnt doubt it would be. I had the chicken fajitas which were sizzling hot served with tortillas,dips and salad. It was delicious. My fellow diners thoroughly enjoyed theirs too ordering Steak pie and the other a Canelloni. All piping hot and very nicely presented,served by lovely staff. Well done Shoulder. Very impressed

We held our Golden Wedding party here. After consulting with the chef several times in advance, we had a really excellent dinner buffet cooked and displayed beautifully for us to help ourselves. The food was delicious and varied and reasonably priced. There was plenty of it! Throughout the afternoon the staff were helpful, courteous and pleasant. The nearby park proved to be an asset too as the children were able to go there and let off steam from time to time.

We had a Australia themed leaving party,Fantastic room in the back not too big or too small,65 people and a DJ.Loads of staff on and great service,fantastic buffet too - Thanks to all the staff involved who helped make this a night to remember

This is our local pub and we often have sunday lunch there..the food is good and you get great friendly service..i am vegatarian and there is a good choice on the weekily menu also..

Second time we have been for food this evening and once again we was not disappointed. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Food is home made, good choices and very good quality. The pub is cosy and clean. Looking forward to coming again.

My family and I had an event at The Shoulder of Mutton, there were roughly 50 of us and we all ate from the buffet provided by the thoughtful chefs who asked what we would like to be served prior to the event. Service was friendly, food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, drinks were promtly served even when it was busy. Definitely would have another event here!

Just been up for valentines meal fantastic food and lovely staff highly recommend to anyone deserves more than a five star thanks to you all for a wonderful evening xxx

I would like to thank Dan and Chris and all the team at the Shoulder of mutton for catering for my 50th birthday party! The food was excellent and plenty of it - the room was great venue for hosting a party with DJ and buffet - many thanks from the Hudsons

Had a great evening for my Dad's surprise 70th birthday here last weekend. The venue was great, really spacious and clean.

The buffet was excellent, something really different, and everyone commented on how much they enjoyed it.

The staff were really friendly and looked after us all!

Absolutely brilliant!! We booked table for my sons 21st last night there was 17 of us! The food came hot, all at the same time and was so delicious � thanks you so much it was a brilliant night and we love Steve ��

A thriving, lively local with excellent food. The staff are friendly and most helpful and the atmosphere is welcoming and warm.



The menu is extensive and interesting. They obviously have extremely good Chefs. The food was well presented and very tasty. Thank you, we shall be back soon.

Called in mid afternoon 4 adults staff friendly lovely warm atmosphere and the pie meals to die for could have stayed for hours but on a tight time scale lovely afternoon and great surroundings

Arrived late in the day but still served a very tasty Sunday roast with all the trimmings. Too full for pudding but will definitely be returning. Staff friendly and very accommodating. Nothing too much trouble.

Visited tonight for dinner. I had fish pie which was supposed to contain smoked hake, cod and prawns. Unfortunately there was a vast amount of large tough grey cubes of "fish" in it so asked the waiting staff what this was and informed them that i couldnt eat it - only to be informed that he'd asked in the kitchen and was told that the fish in the pie was stated on the menu! Not very good! My husbands hunters chicken was ok and my son enjoyed his gammon from the childs menu. All in all quite underwhelming and poor service really due to the blase comment about the grey cubes of "fish". Do not recommend and will not be returning!
