We were only popping in for one before moving on somewhere else last night. 12 cocktails on (between the 3 of us) and a cheeky vodka, we spent a relaxed couple of hours soaking up the atmosphere. 5 stars to the waitress Jen who sat and chatted to us and kept our drinks flowing! We’ll definitely be back 🍹❤️

We found this bar quite by accident on a Saturday afternoon and enjoyed the odd one (or two!) of their special cocktails during the 2-for-1 happy hour (which seemed to last from 4pm to 7pm!). They also serve some tempting looking meals and some bar snacks, but it's probably best to get to this popular bar early to enjoy a more leisurely experience. It's not the biggest of bars but has a very welcoming and cosy atmosphere.

The Snug Hertford certainly does live up to its name. Comfortable, warm, and cosy; Saturday or Sunday morning escape for me, relaxing in the nostalgic decor with freshly cooked breakfast and freshly brewed coffee �

Thank to you the Snug for Saturday night celebrating a 30th birthday in the marque. Great evening had by all family and friends, staff where good fun too. Will definitely do it again.

Pub was lively, music � was great plus there was a young man singing and playing a guitar � who was brilliant. Next time will try the cocktails �

Nice chilled bar with extensive cocktail list. Happy hour 2 for 1 on cocktails was great value.

Lovely lunch here on Tuesday.We arrived at 1pm and left at 4pm.The staff were above and beyond attentive and helpful. We were not made to feel rushed in any way and I had a relaxing afternoon catching up with with my friends.Will be returning soon.

I love this place. Great cocktails and food. When I visit my parents in Hertford I always take then here for lunch. I always seem to end up drinking too much. It's great I love it. Nice decor and friendly staff.

I came with a hen party on Saturday and we did the cocktail class absolutely fantastic. Thank you Jack we all throughly enjoyed it brill afternoon activity. Can't recommend it enough. Thanks again and I'm sure we will return :).

Hadn't been to Hertford for a while but remembered the food was always delicious at the Snug so was glad to see the standards haven't dropped since my last visit. Service was great as well.

Had a cocktail making lesson for a hen do, and it was absolutely fantastic the girl Lucy who showed us how to make the cocktails was great and made the whole thing loads of fun and the drinks were beautiful!!

Excellent half price cocktails! Extremely friendly service(always!) We didn't eat on this occasion but the food selection is good and reasonably priced; we'll definitely be back 👍🍹!

Being vegan the girl serving was knowlegable and adapted the menu. You could improve by having non dairy eg soya or almond milk for coffees. Loved it.

Staff polite and friendly , wasn't to impressed with breakfast , partner had eggs Benedict muffins didn't seem toasted , slice of cold ham and eggs tasted very vinegary. I have bananas and pancakes been nice if bananas were warm

Nice enough. Food was decent and pretty attentive service. Nice place too.



Only downer was I asked for the tiniest splash of lime cordial in my toddler's water beaker, and the guy literally put about 1mm in (which was fine), but the bill had a 50p charge on it for this. Seemed extreme when we were already paying over £30 for 2 burgers, a pint and a coke.

Excellent food, bad management. We had to pop to the bar, few times to ask for things. Woman's toilet didn't have any toilet paper available.

Not sure if this is a cocktail bar, pub, or wine bar! Whatever it is, it’s ridiculous you are told by the manager that customers can’t stand at the bar to order drinks! Does this mean if all the tables are full customers are asked to leave!
