We were on a BBC Breakfast on 13/06/18 for few times with voice dub - “There's been a positive reaction among many Koreans in the south to the historic summit meeting between US president Donald Trump and the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. The chefs at this Korean restaurant in Reading are among five thousand Koreans living in southern England. Many have relatives who fought in the Korean war on the same side as British troops. Staff here hope the talks could pave the way t...o reuniting the two Koreas.”
The interview may mis-lead the owners view but he is mentioning that North Korea isn’t an enemy but families of Korea.

my whole family loved the bbq experienced and foods in this resto....service and price was excellent in all angle...defenitely highly recomendable...keep it up guys...two thumbs up from us!!!!���������

This is authentic Korean food. The BBQ was excellent. All the side dishes were just like you were in Seoul & they even had the call button to call the waiter/waitress. Brought back great memories of living in Seoul & the soju hangover was just the same too! 😆

Nice korean kitchen is in Reading now finally! High standard of Korran cuisine with friendly staff! Spacious enough for group and family! Must go and will re-visit soon!

My first experience with Korean food and it was irresistibly delicious. Very flavourful food with the right mix of herbs and spices, the meat was done to perfection. Especially enjoyed the hot plate feature on the table where I could grill the meat.



The staff was very helpful and humble, catering to the needs of my demanding toddler. �



Great experience and will definitely come back.

I walk out from The SOJU just now and I already want to go back inside. The staff was perfect and everyone was taking care about us. About the food, was absolutely good, even more. I will go there again and again.

This is the sort of restaurant I would happily take friends, guests and business partners. Will definitely be eating here again.

I came here with my sister and daughter Friday evening, the space was clean and modern with the sound of Kpop playing in the background 😊 We had a mixture of rice, vegetables and BBQ meat and it really was an exciting eating experience! High quality food and officiant friendly staff, I would highly recommend it 👍

Greeting and atmosphere was brilliant. My daughter loves K dramas and K pop so this surprise visit made her day as she didn't realise Reading had Korean restaurant. Food was vibrant in colour n tasty. Service was good, attentive n helpful. A staff member asked my daughter who was 15, if she knew how to mix her main of Rice, with chicken n an egg on top. He asked if she wld like help in what to do which I thought was nice.

Only down side was the main was brought out whilst we were still enjoying our starter. I am sure they tried to keep it warm but by the time we were ready for our Main I found mine a little luck warm as I like my food hot. Aside from that I had no faults. K pop n K music being played was pleasing to my daughter's.

All round a great first experience with only ringing to book a 7.30pm table at 6.45pm and got in. Was nice to turn up and see my name already on the table.

Great food, wonderful atmosphere. This was my second visit to Soju and I truly like this place. My colleagues and I really enjoyed and definitely coming back again. Wonderful and friendly staff and owner. I would recommend this place any time if you are looking for authentic food.

Amazing food and drink. We tried the rather random sounding sweetcorn and cheese side dish and it tasted awesome. Would definitely recommend picking a dish that you've never tried before as chances are you'll be pleasantly surprised. Fantastic food, lovely staff and a nice relaxed atmosphere.

Always wanted to try it...staff made us so welcome in explaining the menu to us.....food delicious and great value for money.......will definitely return and try the Korean bbq next time.

Tasty, friendly, economical. The waiter calling gadget was useful to add a forgotten item to our order. My main point of criticism was that one of the mains dishes was served really fast - about ten minutes before the other and hence just sat there cooling down while we were waiting for the rest of the food to arrive.

Food was great, had BBQ and rice in stone bowl. Dumpling bit small for price. Have eating in a number of Korean restaurant in England and Asia and this is up with the best and will be going back.

A unique dining experience which was great with fantastic food and flavours. Lovely attentive staff. I agree with a previous comment that hot main dishes come up too early and get cold while the other raw food cooks. In our case it wasn't a big issue as it was just the rice. Will definately come back.

I ate my dinner last night there and order bibimbap seafood. I asked the server if what kind of seafood in it I was told some shrimp and squid. So basically I'm expecting real seafood 😣 to my dismay when it arrived it's only consist of 1pc little tiny shrimp and few pcs tiny mussles and super tiny cut of squid. It's really disappointing for a cost of 8.90. Don't get me wrong we ate it here before with my workmates and order samyupsal their meats are marinated well and we really love it. But their Bibimpap is thumbs down for me, waste my money.
