The Somerford Beefeater

We stayed at the premier inn and chose to have their meal deal. All members of staff were helpful and polite. We enjoyed a tasty meal and great breakfast on the morning. Highly recommended.

We often go to The Somerford as it's our local Beefeater always get a good reception, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable,the food is well cooked and the general cleanliness is of a good standard would recommend it

Our first visit on Monday and we will certainly be back after a great service from you.

Only go occasionally but can't fault the food and the service is excellent! The staff are friendly and polite and hard working! I would say mid priced range but value for money. Nice for an occasional treat!

Guy shows us to the table in blue shirt this evening was most lovely guy ... We have special need child who was every busy and the waiter was outstanding...food was on point.. staff were amazing and timing was on point... whold defo eat here again and recommend... We never eat in place like this .. but there were every understand...they doing fab job xx

Great staff. Friendly, hardworking and genuinely friendly. We've had many meals here and always had good food and good service. The restaurant was very busy and the hotel was full so the staff wo egg ked their socks off but kept smiling and we're great.

Love coming to this beefeater never had a bad meal would have been 5 stars but i chose the new calamari starter and it was more coating than calamari and the serving bowl at the bottom was swimming with fat not good but main meals were great as usual and a big thanks to Cherish our server she was great in a extremely busy restaurant

After a long day on the road it was really lovely to be welcomed here. I usually steer well away from nationwide chain restaurants but I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and how it was cooked.

We went for Fathers Day. Waited an hour and 15 minutes for one course. Got the wrong steak too. Ordered 3 icecreams as most of the sweets had sold out by 7.30pm and after 20 mins cancelled the order as we had to go. Beware if you are in a hurry.

The food was very good but I had a peppercorn sauce with my steak, and it tasted of nothing at all, on a previous visit the sauce with a prawn cocktail was tasteless, is very odd

Difficult call to make as we use the Beefeater regularly but for whatever reason things just didn't go well and food was over an hour arriving Having complained several time and about to walk out the manager arrived and we resolved the issue satisfactorily,so we will be back For the record, the steaks when the did arrive were good.

Both meals, my friend's and mine were very fatty. I had risotto and it was tasty but there was so much fat ......

We'd planned to go to another restaurant which my friend had said would be expensive but the food on Beefeater menu was a lot more than out first, closed choice....

I went to the Somerford Beefeater yesterday with my family. I ordered tbe steak, ribs and prawns. The dish was quite nice but this morning at 4am, I was horrendously sick and I have been suffering all day. I have been very poorly, not sure that I will be eating there again and if you do then don't order the prawns!

First time in here in a long time and I'm afraid I won't be coming back.. Staff very friendly but food was very poor, I had the new item on the menu chicken & chorizo pie in filo pastry with spicy chips and salad. Chips were not spicy at all and pie was luke warm. The lovely waitress did take pie away to get another which when it came back was hot and I was offered more chips.. Its a shame food was not up to expectations as the pub itself was OK

I ate here on Tuesday with my sons the staff at front of house were excellent.Unfortunately the food was awful, poor quality steaks with a wet mushroom and tasteless fries, curry was nice but rice cold. It's no good having good front of house if you are unable to produce food to an acceptable standard.
