Saw both A-ha & Steps & absolutely loved it. Seen other bands here before too. It's a beautiful venue & well organised ÔøΩÔøΩ

User

Highly recommend watching concerts here so well organised Ive seen Olly Murs, Aha and Steps here. Brilliant

User

Had an amazing time at Steps and would just like to say a MASSIVE thank you to all the people who helped us. I was in my wheelchair and I was very humbled by the help of the people who were working or volunteers. Who helped from the time we got there, to the end when they helped us get on the bus. The female park and ride driver who was just so kind and helpful. It truly made the experience go smoothly and I will definitely be back.

User

Great ground - would have been a brilliant match but rain (in the biggest drought for 50 years) stopped play at the interval! Very odd as it had rained all through the Surrey Innings! With the same drizzly rain falling Kent never took to the pitch! A packed crowd sat in the rain for about an hour and then started drifting home with no announcements by the time we left..

Match was finally abandoned apparently!!ÔøΩ

User

Fabulous show at a beautiful venue which is easy to get to and from, although a bit of a walk from the Station. Canterbury East is about a mile away. There are plenty of taxis around and I understand there is also a bus from the nearby bus station which goes to the ground.

UB40 and Level 42 were awesome although I spent the entire time Level 42 were on stage queuing at the bar, despite joining the queue before they even came on! And to top it all, the prices at the bar were extortionate, not to mention taking water off people as they entered the ground and then charging £2.50 for a 50p bottle of water! And this on a scorching hot day at an outdoor gig. The promoters have a lot to answer for in my humble opinion.

But again, the gig, the venue and the overall experience of Canterbury and The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence was amazing!

User

Don't know why people have to moan they will moan about anything, had great time what do people think it was a concert and no shit Sherlock there maybe thousands there, I was in platinum and had a great view loads of space, don't think others came from cheap seats, having said that you do pay top rate for drinks and tell me where they don't it's the nature of the beast, ya toilets got busy and bar later on but too be expected but did not wait long at all, over all good staff dealt with a fight professional and was the best concert I went too in long time, one issue was my tickets where on apple wallet and said it was fine to do it but had to re que to get one but only 10 mins as ex policeman well done to the organisers and sod the people who just like to moan, if you watch Punch and Judy then you will have 10 guest but you forgot it was ub40 get a grip

User

We didn't have a problem queuing at the bar.the staff were very quick and very polite. There was water available. However I have to agree the toilets leaves a little to be desired. The gents wagon was pouring out with urine from underneath the wagon on the walk way. Obviously food and drink was expensive as it is at all concerts. Also a lot of drunk people as it is at most concerts. We left before the end to avoid the hassle to drive out, again as it is at all concerts. We had a great time and loved the venue.

User

Great night at UB40.

Used park and ride and driver dropped us off right outside and on leaving the gig a bus was waiting to take us back to the car park.

Entry was appalling as we queued for half hour to get in and then our tickets wouldn't scan so they told us to go main entrance ( another half hour queue) to get them scanned there !!!!! We blatantly refused and kicked up such a fuss they just let us in. Sort your scanners out !!!!!

Food choice was excellent and although pricey it's what you'd expect at venues .

All in all a great venue for music gig .

User

The queuing system to get into the ground was not very well thought out in light of recent events, once inside it was okay but I don't think I will be rushing back massive ques for the bar facilities inexperienced bar staff and why take cards when there is hundreds of people waiting to be served. Although there were ample toilet facilities the ladies was rarely without a queue 6 deep. On the plus side nice and open viewing area and some seats if you wanted them

User

The music was fantastic but the toliets were such a long time to wait and your prices of food and drink was a rip of we know you need to make a profit but that over a hundred per cent profit one coke 3 pound and a beer 5 pound it would be okay if we was allowed our one bottle of water there

User

Parking organise in the school is the only complaint really, no stewards after the event so the field we were in turned to chaos! Arguments and aggressive driver all over the place, people making their own lanes and cutting people up all over the place.

Could have been much smoother if it was laid out properly with stewards to ensure it works.

User

Lovely grounds for a great concert UB40 were fantastic . Only thing I could suggest is more toilets had to wait 40 minutes each time for the toilet and that's not being over the top missed the first 2 songs from UB40 also toilets should be located around the grounds as they were on the other side of the field to access toilets . 12 beers cost £60 do prices really need to be that high ....

User

I absolutely love going to see concerts here.

The venue is fantastic .

BUT (( last night at the UB40 concert the toilet facilities let the place down (

I was in a queue for 25 mins (( there was no real system .

At the Brian Adams concert the loos were in a horseshoe format & very quick turnover .

I dint know why they change the format for each concert ?

I ended up missing some of my favourite songs waiting in line to visit the loo ()

I'm sure this can be corrected ----- I'm at Tom jones next visit and I hope they have good facilities for that one !

Otherwise I'm wearing 4 pairs of Tenea lady pants ha ha

User

Great venue but needs tweaking for this type of event... Queuing for half an hour for the toilets was a joke.... Too many people having to use the hedges!..... Saw people necking bottles of wine before entering.. In front of security.. Luckily we stayed at the back away from any trouble and enjoyed the music.... The organisation of this event will put me off of attending another here....

User

As others have said, music great but facilities , bar was a joke first time I have ever known my other half refuse to stand in the massive queues that were hardly moving, and when he eventually braved the bar later in the evening and again long queue and price ridiculous, and we won't mention the disgusting toilets, I used the ladies when I first arrived and no flush and disgusting, and no where near enough of them. Such a shame as it's local and as I said good music, puts you off bothering again

User

3 stars for the line up of music. Fantastic from start to finish. Great sound and set up. Sadly for me this was the only positive on the day. No problem with delays getting in. Expecting it at the moment. Price of food and drink little short of robbery, the toilets were disgusting in the main and the queues were ridiculous. The Platinum section was full of people bragging they had bought the cheaper tickets and this then swelled the amount of people in that section and made the bar and toilets a pointless addition. You couldn't use them!!!! No doubt the Tom Jones crowd will have a better experience

User

Lack of police presence and security, the amount of violent behaviour and disregard for cars trying to get through the residential roads was really uncalled for and quite scary. This completely ruined a good day out and agreed with other comments about the bar although I am used to higher prices at events but we also missed the most of level 42 due to people ordering for there friends/family to take back to them due to the que sizes. I did notice both the screens weren't working just the right hand side was and the music in between could of been a bit louder. For the price of the ticket you can't complain to much but the the lack of security controlling heavy drinkers causing havoc and prices let it down massively.

User

Great music & UB40 & Level 42 were really good but once again the venue failed! Not enough toilets, the bar queues were terrible and cans of San Miguel £5 a can are a total rip off! I live close enough to pop home and use the toilet, and having had a full body search the first time I entered the ground, when they wouldn't even let someone bring in a sealed packet of crisps, there was nothing the second time, no one looked and I could have brought in so much in!!! Ridiculous.

User

When your charging £4.50 for a pint but can get 4 of the same in sainsbury with nons signs to warn you and not enough staff to check you until you've entered and your options are to confiscate and not return the unopened bottles or leave. Disgraceful! If you want todo that put a sign up by the entrance by sainsbury. I walked in after buy 4 kopperbergs at 1 pound more than the cost of a pint of it from your bar. No sign anywhere to be seen and got told to give it over to he chucked into a bin or leave. Upon asking the staff if I could take it back to the store and get a refund and come back I was told no. So lack of signs and refusal by staff to show their ground bylaws at a free event is atrocious. Expected better.
