Tried the new vegan menu tonight and was absolutely blown away by it.

Normally there’s not even one vegan option, but tonight I got my own menu!

The coconut curry blew me away!

Hands down the best vegan meal I’ve had in the last 2 years!

The only criticism I have, from last night's visit, was that the flower on the table was dead! This shouldn't have been overlooked, but in the scheme of things I know it was small. The ambience of this restaurant is wonderful, the setting is gorgeous, right on The Thames, I've have been going for years and in the winter the open fires are lit and it's very cosy. I've never had a problem with the service. I've never felt hurried, but maybe I don't have a gripe because I really enjoy the company of my friends - the longer I'm with them the better! If you want to be in and out in 45 minutes perhaps find somewhere else. I love this place.

Lovely trendy decor, fabulous view , staff friendly and helpful, and the food was amazing and reasonably priced, infact we were before 6pm having had a day out so had the 3 course for £15.50 great value for money. Already told the family where I’d like to go for the big birthday approaching... 😂 Thank you!

It’s a great friendly pub and the service was excellent and the food great.

I was so impressed with the vegan menu with lots of choice of starters, mains and desserts. It made our last meal out on our holiday an enjoyable one. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the service was quick despite it being so busy. We will definitely return. The location is so pretty too. One of the best restaurants I've visited for a long time. Thank you.

Been going to The George and Dragon for a few years now. Never had a bad experience or meal ever, always delicious. The staff are lovely and friendly always. Is a little bit more expensive ( you get what you pay for) than most pub restuarants but well worth it just for being on the Thames. Always a great ambience. Definitely recommend.

Been coming to this pub for 10 years Stunning location, beautiful setting, amazing food unbelievably relaxing 👌🏻 had the steak sandwich with fries yesterday washed down with an Amstel which was glorious! Best pub in Berkshire by a country mile just wish the English summer would last forever as I'd sit on the decking or down by the riverside on the benches all day everyday worth traveling too from wokingham for trust me! The staff are always smiling and helpful and just leave you to enjoy your surroundings exactly how it should be! I look forward to seeing you much more this year.

Appealing menu and our choices did not disappoint. My chicken pie was delicious, the pastry crisp and the filling firm but succulent. Friendly and helpful service to our family group. We avoided peak Sunday lunch time and enjoyed a leisurely meal in congenial surroundings. A return visit is planned!

Absolutely delicious food & the setting is beautiful, the inside is lovely & the staff friendly, I will definitely revisit.

Only stopped off for a drink and to relax by the river. Overall ambiance of the pub is very good. Just one thing your bar staff should keep their thoughts and comments about customers to themselves or at least out of earshot of other customers.

Fab location on banks of The Thames but sadly food does not live up to its potential - disappointing

We visited for a celebration birthday meal but the evening didn't meet our expectations after hearing good reviews. A couple of our meals were missing elements, a child's meal was missed off, certain meals were bland, the pork belly was just about edible, the scallops weren't cooked correctly, the wagu burger as disappointing and meal. No child appropriate cutlery. There desserts were brought out at different stages so half the table had finished while the other half were still eating. The cookie and icecream dessert was awful... a freezing cold cookie which was hard and flavourless which had been cut in half and plonked on icecream. A child could have presented a better dessert. And paying for a food was an absolute nightmare. We had separate bills but had the money ready and although the we had the correct money for the corresponding bill, we were handed another tables bill which resulted in a lot of confusion for the waitress. Who when I tried to explain the bills to her, was very rude and told me "to just wait".

All in all, a very bad experience, bad food and poor service. Not the celebratory birthday evening we had planned.

Usually love this place, not today. The crispy duck salad is my favourite, I've eaten that meal here several times previously however today the amount of duck I had for the price was shocking. When asked if I'd been given a small salad instead of a large I was told there is only one size (there never used to be one size plus when my partner ordered it he got asked small or large!!!) We were told the company has guidelines to stick to with the portions but this didn't explain why the portion size has changed drastically since last time and I thought The Warren in Wokingham is the same chain? It has the same menu/price. I went there last week and was given at least twice the amount...their portion was worth the money.

This place came recommended for food and stunning venue. The view from the terrace was indeed beautiful. However sittig on the chairs was a precarious experience as several were fraying and not able to support me. The tables were unbalanced and drinks were spilt easily.

The food was even worse. The camenbert ( a favourite) was melted beautifully but the cranberry sauce was like diluted cordial and bread portion was scant.

My salad sounded beautiful from the menu description but for £11.00 was a very small portion for the price. The salmon was lovely and moist of good texture and flavour.

My husband chose the chicken leg?? and chips. The skin on the chicken was part inedible and we did tell the staff and complimentary coffees were offered as an apology. The meals alone were over £60.00

The staff were very attentive and served us well.

had lunch here, ordered roast but after waiting over 30 minutes it arrived without any roast potatoes, we were then told they had run out! the menu stated served with root veg and we got a teaspoon of cabbage and 2 pieces of onion. Yorkshire was flat and greasy & chicken was so dry. we complained and got everything off the bill but we won't be going back. I think they need a new chef

So I organised a special Father’s Day 3 course meal for my family and my husbands.we paid £50 deposit to secure a table.we were firstly told that there was no salmon or steak left, The featuring main on the menu was the roast! Which we all ordered to then be told there was no roast potatoes left! A roast dinner without potatoes! They gave us mash, then the waitress came back again to tell us there was no pork left either! ( we also came

For Mother’s Day and had the same issue!!) we paid £50 deposit for our table and half the menu wasn’t available! The mains came out before the starters were cleared and then they were taken back to the kitchen, The pig in blanket on the plate was cremated, the beef was very rare, the chicken so dry and the extra chips were like mush and not even cooked! Then it came to dessert and the same again. ‘We haven’t got this and this Etc’

I felt sorry for the waitress, the manager just said the chef didn’t order enough food, that shouldn’t be happening at such a high end priced restaurant! The rest of the bill was disregarded but we would have preferred a better meal!

We used to love this place as we came here for our first wedding anniversary but it has gone down hill massively and won’t be coming back!!!

Horrific meal. Pizza with half the pizza having no topping. Asked for a gluten free menu. Got an allergens menu which had meals no longer on the menu on it and was missing meals that were on the menu. There was also no specific order to the allergens menu so gave up after 30 mins of looking. When we told the staff about this, they just looked offended. Waited for someone to bring drinks over for 15 mins so just went to the bar in the end. No one ever did turn up with those drinks... Will never go here again and have told the gluten free groups that I am a member of.

First time visitor! Never set foot in place again paid for two expensive rounds of pints. Ordered food an hour later the wrong meals came out! Waitress proceeded to give them to next table who had arrived a short time ago, complained “ will be 5 minutes sir” half hour later requested money back naff service naff place only reason they get repeat custom is the location. I personally will never stop the boat there again 😡👎👎
