Just had the roast beef mrs had the Mousaka followed with Eaton mess how else to finish a Sunday afternoon off. Staff very good too.

Went to the pub today with the dog. Bar lady made sure the dog was catered for with his drinks and food.

We sat in the porch section which is set out beautifully and cosy.

Our starters were done perfect. Our mains were amazing and the stake and ale pie was full of meat

Only down side was my mash lacked any flavour and my veg was over cooked. But will be back again.

Myself and my family visit The Stag every week sometimes twice a week we love it there the staff are always welcoming and go the extra mile , we also come with family and friends as often as we can. we visited the stag on Tuesday with my family and have to say the food was out super fast all cooked to perfection, keep doing what your doing guys ignore the negative reviews on here as we was here Sunday and had a wonderful Sunday roast with perfect roast beef and the park belly is top notch .

Top place, lovely food, great staff and atmosphere

Wow just wow I come to The stag on Friday night and what a lovely place it is I will definitely be returning can't wait to see it done out for Christmas , we had suck a nice meal on Friday pub was buzzing with laughter and people perfect country pub , owners perfect there just lovely and the staff was happy to help with everything ,great team work to ,it's so nice to visit a pub and here giggle a coming from the kitchen from the kitchen staff what would mean this it a happy place to be , we had 3 courses and it was all so so nice , the steaks here are supper lovely meat ,and as for the desserts what can I say I had mind and my husbands , thank you so much for such a nice night we will be returning very soon look forward to trying the Christmas fayre menu with my family and friends , also my husband says the real ales are a must at this place well looked after lots of local products to see you very soon Lisa and mark .

This pub reopened for business just over a year ago. At first I must say it got off to a stuttering start in terms of food quality. However, the last few months have seen definite improvement. The sandwiches are excellent and I recommend the pulled beef BBQ in particular. At £7 you'd be forgiven for frowning initially but it's well worth it. The general atmosphere in the place has picked up too perhaps consequently to other improvements.
