Wow what a great place to eat had a fab Birthday dinner last night, food was lovely and staff were so accommodating and the gin cocktails are to die for thank you to all the staff and the chief we will definitely be back.�

We were invited here by friends for Sunday Lunch and whilst the huge Yorkshire puddings and tradition roast looked stunning, my eye was immediately drawn to awesome burger menu. And wow, I was not disappointed. The dish cooked to perfection (slightly pink, juicy and tasty) it also came with some of the most delicious wet fries combos I’ve had in a long time. Everyone in the party agreed, that meal was one of the best we’ve had recently.



The atmosphere was great. We had a 3-month-old with us and we found somewhere to feed him. We also needed a gluten-free menu option, of which there were many. Finally, I went a bit ‘off-menu’ with one of my side options and they happily obliged. We’ll go back for sure.

I honestly could not find a single thing that I could fault! We were seated very promptly, drinks order taken within minutes, the food came out within 20 minutes even though the restaurant was busy, the food was absolutely incredible, the atmosphere was perfect, the service was great, and most of all: every single member of staff was fab � They were polite, smiley, attentive (but not hovering or in your face) and very helpful. Every time our drinks were nearing the bottom of the glass, someone would be there offering another. We will definitely be coming here again. Very highly recommended

We visited The Red Lion today for the first time and had a wonderful experience. The staff were very polite and nothing was too much trouble. The food was lovely and well received by all 8 of our party including 2 children that enjoyed the children’s menu. We will certainly be back again... a perfect, cosy pub for couples but equally great facilities for families too with quality food - what more could you want?!

We just ate Sunday lunch here. The food was delicious, portion sizes generous and the beef served pink just as we like it.

The service by Dominic was excellent attentive. My favourite Warner Edwards gin here to. The perfect country pub for sure! Well done! ��

We have been twice for lunch and once for evening meal now and we can't wait to go back. Great atmosphere, top class staff, amazing food (portion sizes are very good), welcoming feel and ideal location. I think one of the best assets for this place is it's staff - who one know how to have a laugh with the customers and two also know how to serve the customers attentively and professionally. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for them to accommodate us. Love it - thanks for making such a great local place for us to come!

Absolutely outstanding food and service

We visited today ( Sunday) for the first time .

Food was fresh and served hot , being vegetarian I do often find that we are not very well catered for but not here I had Mac and cheese my word I have never tasted anything like it , full of flavour,creamy with a fantastic Stilton and crunchy breadcrumb topping. Although it had beaten me I would definitely recommend it. Other people in our party had a pizza which again was fantastically presented with plenty of flavour and two adults had burgers which they said were fantastic ( the burgers beat them too lol) my youngest son who is extremely fussy with food had a plain burger with fries his comment was “ This is the best burger ever”

This is a massive compliment to the chef

Staff were extremely polite welcoming and friendly and the restaurant is spacious

We were not rushed in any way and our needs were met to an extremely high standard

We will definitely visit again

Well done to all staff for doing such a fantastic job we haven’t had service like this in a very long time

I had not eaten in the Red Lion before but following great recommendations I booked in for our Christmas party and it certainly lived up to the hype! We could not fault a single thing about the evening! The food was superb! Sharing courses added to the fun & relaxed atmosphere and there was more than plenty to go round! Service was fast and friendly, big shout to Dom who served our table! Friendly and attentive, he was a total star � We had the best evening, thank you and merry Christmas to you all! (Apologies if we got a little loud ���
