Really have to thank them for making a small group of us welcome to watch AFL (Australian Rules Football) on the big screen. Afterwards, the rooftop is a great area, especially with weather improving.

Popped in twice in the last month for a quiet drink early evening. A lovely cosy place, excellent customer service from the barman and a great selection of drinks to choose from. The rooftop terrace is a lovely touch and I look forward to putting it to use in the summer.

Highly recommend! I visit the standard on regular basis, it's such an awesome atmosphere, the staff are so welcoming, amazing food, great place for a night out. There is always something going on! Great place to visit! Always a great experience!

Great environment, wide range of drinks, helpful and friendly staff and thumbs up for the roof area :-) This place is getting to my top list of locations :-)

Great Saturday night out. Great music and atmosphere

As a musician I've played here quite a few times now and everytime it's a great experience. The staff are friendly and the crowd are great and very happy, which I think is also a reflection of how the pub makes them feel. Food has always been good. If I were a local I'd definitely drink there

In my opinion, the best of the High Street pubs in Bedford. Good atmosphere, decoration, friendly attentive staff and good beers. Ideal for a drink before, during the interval and the end of events at the Corn Exchange.

Had lunch here with mum and it was lovely. I had the falafel wrap with sweet potato fries and mum had the fish & chips, the piece of fish was huge!! Good food, friendly staff, would definitely go back for lunch.

Called in for lunch, good food and friendly staff. Nice roof terrace for the summer and live music 4 nights a week.

Normally I love the standard, always friendly staff and good vibes but on this one occasion my friend ordered a coke and a female bar staff gave her a pepsi, my friend complained because she hates pepsi and she refused to either change the order or give us a refund. She was very rude and ruined our afternoon.

Bit of a disappointment to be honest. It's not awful but it's not great either and that roof top bar everyone tells you about: it's a bar upstairs but not on the roof �

In saying that it's nicer upstairs than down.
