Mothers day made extra special attentive un flustered staff considering so busy food was served quickly and hot and fresh would like to thank Steve and all the staff for a wonderful dining experience top marks food was delicious x

Meal was fantastic and really good value for money,service was polite and very quick,made our anniversary very special 21 years after we met in the Stanley

I have a very fussy vegetarian daughter and the staff very patiently went through different things to help her choose she settled on the bean burger with lettuce and no sauce but BBQ sauce on the side and even though it was busy this was no trouble to them made my meal much better than having her moan coz she doesn't like what it comes with haha so thank you to Paul and the other man who helped us

Honestly it is the best bar to drink in around the area. Great entertainment acts and the bar staff couldn’t help us anymore. Special shout out to Patti an Em for the good deals

First visit to this pub having been told good things abt it from friends. Took my disabled mum for a meal & drinks with friends, everything during our visit was great food, drink, staff made our visit a relaxing & pleasent one. Deffo be back thanx for an enjoyable visit patti & ste.

Fantastic place. Do lots of work from here and hire the facilities out for training and meetings .. great staff and a lovely atmosphere .. also great pub food

Eaten here a few times and had a gluten free option because I have coeliacs disease. All the staff are very knowledgeable about cross contamination and gluten free diet. Stephen is a great manager,nothing is too much trouble. Thank you for making my visits to The Stanley Arms stress free and enjoyable.

Came for Christmas dinner which turned out to be a disaster, however the manager and the staff since then have been amazing and invited our party of 13 back to make amends. I wish more food establishments would follow the example set by the stanly and the manger! Couldn’t have asked for better service today (31 December)

Birthday boy son wanted to have his family birthday tea at the sizzler. After finding our nearest was being refurbished, our next choice was hosting a charity event, 3rd was chocka.....we came to the Stanley Arms. First visit. Made to feel welcome from the minute we entered this lovely friendly pub. Manager happily cleaned our tables (busy Friday night) and then much to our surprise brought out birthday balloons for my son (who's 24 btw). Lovely friendly bar staff. Happy friendly waiters and waitresses. Made our night so special with extra onion rings and garlic bread (its the little things mean alot). Little gem. Can't fault it. Definitely our first choice sizzler from now on. We'll done everyone. �

A group of us visit the Stanley every month for a girlie catch up. The food is fab, great choice and so reasonably priced, (helps us save in our kitty for special days out and trips away!). Special thanks to Stephen the manager who always deals with any special requests we have and Joanne and Chris (aka Stephen's brother!) who always look after us and provide great service. See you again on the 1st March!

P.S Would definitely recommend the breakfast, always fab!

Great Pub Grub, staff helpful and pleasant, decent beer garden �

Food tastes lovely. Think the surf and turf poor value for money though. Bit of steak 6 bits of scampi and chips. Compared to classic mixed grill at same price which my sister got the surf and turf was abysmal. Staff r lovely and helpful. Lovely pub and will return again. Just not get team same meal

We came tonight Bank Holiday Monday for the advertised Easter egg egg and quiz but were bitterly disappointed to find that there was nothing happening. We spent £100 on food and drink but the kids were gutted . As regulars hoping for compensation in this one?

Waited far too long for food to arrive . Ordered kids meals to come with starters waited ages then again for main and desert courses . Pub was empty too !

Took family for afternoon dinner, all meal where ok apart from one, Duck in bourbon. Wasn't impressed A pile of onion with about 6 tiny bits of duck. For the price expected more.

Also the Ales are never available always off. IPA/Doombar

Went with wife and friend for dinner as staying in hotel close by. Food was nice but pub full with a very drunk angry pensioner and weirdo who were very aggressive and threatening to us. I asked the staff it they could get them to calm down but was told the manager don't do anything coz there regulars. Wont be back.

Went for food earlier and we won't be returning. Absolutely everything we ate was over cooked dry and honestly disgusting. The only things that were enjoyable were the kids pudding (cookie and ice lolly) which are obviously pre packaged. Have came home and had go look for something else to cook, clearly not what's meant to happen when you go out and pay for food!!

Normally its lovely....but yesterday we went waiting 2 hours for food for only half of the table to get there food and another 20 mins later the other half of the tables food come out so we all ate separate the chips was cold and the chicken was like rubber. Not good!!!!
