my first visit with friend's only had beers but ice cold glass great place will Defoe ho back.

You ask for vermouth and they serve you something a lot better than martini.

And great port wine as well.

We really enjoyed our mother's day meal tonight here! Although a little on the pricey side, despite there being an offer on, the food and drinks were delicious and we are hoping to return

Visiting from Manchester great bar and all staff are really friendly. We had table service as well which was really nice as the bar was busy! Great range of rum as well.

Suburbs is my one of my favorite bars in Hoole outskirts of chester. Small but so unique with friendly staff. Book your table and your drinks are served at your table ~that's a 5☆ for me as hate going to the bar. Fantastic night

I organised a surprise birthday party at the Suburbs and from start to finish the staff were excellent. Always on hand to help with anything we needed. I would highly recommend the Suburbs and will be definitely going back.

I am originally from hoole but live in the West Country now always make the effort to have a few drinks here when up in chester a very nice place to relax in friendly staff very attentive like the decor from the outside you think it’s small but once in its like the Tardis.it may be slightly on the expensive side but that is more than compensated by its service,and for me last but not least it is dog friendly long may it continue to be

Had a wonderful night here for my birthday. Even though it was a packed Saturday night we didn't have to wait long to be served. The fashion victim cocktail was amazing . The best one I've ever had �����

Had a fab sunday lunch!served as a sharing platter and is delicious, they even did chicken for me- as everyone around me was tucking into lots of beef and i dont eat red

Friendly staff, nice music, beautiful people... I just wanted to leave a message for who come here gives 2 stars and complains about the price. If you can't pay the prices... Go to Tesco buy your drinks and go back to home.

First time here and absolutely believe first impressions count � from start to finish it was excellent .



The steak was beautiful and my partners burger which I hijakcked the last few bites of tasted sooo nice. (am having that next time � )

Favourite place in the whole of Hoole and Chester to go for drinks and food and gossip! :) bar staff are incredible every time and really knowledgeable. .. They always go above and beyond on any requests :)

Came here lastnight for my friends birthday and had a meal and the food was excellent. Also as a surprise the lovely waitress Laura gave my friend a free cocktail Make herself behind the bar which she really enjoyed . Service was excellent and really went beyond to make sure we had a good time x

Came here for my best friends birthday and from start to finish the whole experience was excellent! The ambiance, the service, the cocktails and especially the food was unbelievable - the duck and passion fruit was stunning! We were made to feel really special and the waitress was really attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. They even took the time to arrange all the balloons that I had bought for the table and held onto to my friends surprise cake until it was needed! Can’t recommend this place enough and believe me I’ll be coming back for their espresso martinis and that duck dish alone!

Always loved the cocktails and grazing dishes here but tonight we discovered they have the best Sunday Roast in chester! We are moving away next week but will certainly go straight to the suburbs when we are visiting!

Absolutely love this place! They serve stein (large beers) so I had to have one along with a burger.

I'm not a burger person but I loved it and the sweet potato chips were the best ever! The atmosphere was great! Can't wait to go back :)

A great place, loved the atmosphere made by live music on a Tuesday too !!

The staff were very professional and accommodating, the barman even made us our own cocktails ! We will return for sure x

Asked for a pint of larger and pint of coke and was given what I think was about 2/3 pint of larger and a glass of coke which contained barely half a can of coke.....



At the prices I was charged I would have expected at least what I asked for.



I think you need to realise you can be expensive, trendy and good value at the same time.... last night you only ticked two of the three for me, which isn't good enough.
