What a beautiful place to eat. 6 of us stumbled on this gem and they fitted us in. It is situated next to the canal and has so a classy summer feel. It was wonderful, even the toilet has a plant pot for a basin! The food was fresh and glorious, we are a chatty bunch and we barely said a word when eating apart from 'omg' and 'wow'. The waitress was lovely and couldn't do enough for us. We will 100% be coming back here.

This was a 35 wedding anniversary lunch, the wonderful venue was chosen by my husband. The food was delicious and the staff were wonderful. I hope he takes me there again.

The restaurant is right next to the canal giving very scenic views. The menu is very fish oriented, but there was still plenty of choice for me being a non-fish eater. The food was excellent and the service very good.



My guest had never been before despite his office only being a short walk away, however we both agreed we would definitely be returning.

Lovely evening at the Summerhouse. Food, wine and cocktails were delicious.

Just had another dinner here and have to concur with my boyfriend that in his words 'the summer house rocks'.



We discovered a tiny patio area outside - smokes like a chimney - and got a feel for the promise a balmy summer evening might have, when the canvas is opened up.



The food was as before excellent, but my boyfriend could not help pointing out to Louis the Barman that he had had an 'elderly moment' by putting lemon in our Campari and sodas.



Despite this, we would still have given them five stars, but found it is a nice gesture that it was knocked off our bill.

Have loved the Summer house for a few years wonderful setting and wonderful food. Yesterday was a perfect day to be there and we had a lovely table by the canal. Popcorn Shrimp followed by Lobster with garlic butter all fabulous.

Had my birthday lunch here. The setting is just gorgeous, atmosphere amazing and the food, to die for! Think it's my new favourite restaurant! �

A beautiful setting for summer lunch in the fresh air right on the canal. The food was not particularly exotic but was yummy- especially the sharing platters! Staff were friendly and attentive despite being very busy over the lunch hour. Would recommend and love to go back.

We've eaten here several times, but this was the best yet - excellent set meal (I was torn between several starters and all the mains) - very nicely presented and very reasonably priced. Only niggle was the cheese - I'd have preferred a smaller piece of Brie that wasn't still chilled in the middle (fussy, sorry 🙄)

Lovely to revisit after my first, and solo, time there. Hubby and I enjoyed Saturday brunch - scrambled egg, toast and lots of bacon for him and French toast with banana and maple syrup with an apple and elderflower drink for me, followed by coffee for both - all served in an efficient and friendly manner. Failed in effort to book a table online but were welcomed and given a table without hassle. We'll be back!

Amazing food (brunch), great experience and incredible setting. Need to go back for the fish. Maybe a 5-Star rating then.
