We are a branch of Crusade re-enactment based in Middlesbrough, this is our page specializing in the pirates and Royal Navy between 1770 - 1820!

We are a re-enactment group, the Middlesbrough branch of Crusade Re-enactment. We have been a predominantly 12th century crusades era re-enactment group however most recently we have got into and fallen in love with the age of sail, golden age of piracy and all things sailing!

So we now offer our own pirate crew as well as a crew of the Royal navy. We have a good knowledge of the timeline and focus more on the period of 1770 - 1820, after the golden age of piracy.

We are a growing group and always looking to make our set up even better, so far we have our pirate bar where the pirates and sailors can play games from the period, have a drink and a bar brawl of course.

We have our "fell off the back of a frigate" market which is totally legal, it totally wasn't pushed off the back of a frigate! ! !

We have our kiddie melees where the kids can join the crew and beat up some unruly pirates!

We now so close to finishing our first authentic surgery where we will be removing a bullet from a leg!

22 - 23 July - Belsay Castle (12th Century Show)

27 July - James Cook Birthplace Museum, pirate event which we are looking forward to and the first appearance of our surgery!

04 - 05 August - Redcar Pirate Festival, robbing the high streets of Redcar as pirates, bar brawling in the streets and ending in with a big sword fight at the end!

12 - 13 August - Framlingham Castle (12th Century Show)

22 - 24 August - Pendennis Castle, we are portraying the Spanish Conquistadors in this, something we haven't done before but are immensely looking forward to!

26 - 28 August - Detling Military Odyssey, what a week of re-enacting this will be. This is our multi-period event where we will be many different time periods and fighting numerous battles, so fun! ! !
