The Sunshine Centre is one of 2 centres run by Thurrock Council for disabled children.
These centres offer valuable support to any parent or carer living in Thurrock who has a child or young adult with additional needs in their care.
The Sunshine Centre in Tilbury has been designed to support children from the ages of 4 to 8 years-old that have a recognised disability and are residing in Thurrock.
The Hannah's Place centre supports children and young people from the ages of 8 to 18 years-old, or 19 years-old if still in full time education, that have a disability.
A Befriending Service in Thurrock gives young people the chance to enjoy regular outings with a befriending leader and a small group of friends.
These services are available by referral.
