Lovely pub to visit. Great range of drinks and food.

Always our “go to” pub when we are in the Ipswich area. Great food and atmosphere and wonderful service. Would highly recommend.

Welcoming staff and great food. Relaxed atmosphere. I even got to talk to the head chef Sparkey I think he's called. Lovely chap and cooks a great steak.

We were looking for somewhere to have lunch and The Swan was recommended. On phoning at midday they said they weren't very busy but we booked anyway and were glad we did. The restaurant is located on Westerfield Road, but the road was closed at the railway crossing which meant a detour of a few miles. On arrival, the restaurant was already two thirds full.
The food was very tasty, although not always exactly as described in the menu, and the service was attentive and helpful. I would definitely eat there again.

Had lunch last Wednesday. Staff excellent but food disappointing. Braised beef cannelloni from specials menu - just minced beef in cannelloni with too much cheese on top. Reminded me of a freezer meal. Okay it came with salad and some bread but I expected better for the price. Dessert - sticky toffee pudding. It was not sticky just moist and sweet. I felt a little disappointed given £5.50 price tag. My partner's chocolate fondant was the world's smallest.

Overall based on this one experience: great staff but too pricey given quality and quantity of food.

We booked for Sunday lunch and one of us was disappointed the other pleased. The disappointment was the Sunday Roast - thin slices of overcooked lamb, roast potatoes with skins like leather after much time 'maturing' under whatever was used to keep them warm and Yorkshire pudding that would upset any Yorkshireman. My fault, I guess for not expecting my lunch to be ready for 12 noon when I had booked for 1pm. My partners' meal, however, was excellent - fresh cooked sea bass beautifully prepared and served with fresh veg. My conclusion - order from the the normal menu and avoid Sunday roast like the plague.

Good food at reasonable prices. This pub is part of a small chain of local pubs so if you want a safe choice of where to eat it's OK. Sadly lacking in the feel of an authentic pub run by landlords who take pride in local food and drink.

Very busy normally. Lovely food, lovely place! Make sure you book in advance to get a great meal

Being part of Debenham Inns I would expect good quality food, and a sensible portion.
I ordered Lamb stew, with Rosemary dumplings.
Waiting for a steaming bowl of dark rich stew, I was presented with a small portion of very anemic stew, and dumpling without any flavour of rosemary what so ever.
I have never seen such a pasty looking stew in my life! It was ok flavour wise, but appearance left a lot to be desired.
I would recommend booking 4pm onwards as you get buy one main meal get one free, then it would have been more acceptable.
The dessert was very tasty and couldn't complain at that.sadly won't be rushing back.
Service was good, and all staff very friendly, and prompt
