We went to the pub on Sunday for lunch with 4 friends. The pub is set in the middle of Swanland overlooking the village pond, and has a decent car park at the rear. Interior wise has a fairly modern feel which is pleasant and relaxing. We have always found the staff very pleasant and will do anything to help. There is a good choice of food either from the menu or from a board which are its speciality roast dinners, available in small or regular sizes. These menus come with a huge Yorkshire pudding. The food is very plentiful and delicious. Starters and puddings are available also. I had the apple crumble which was to die for! Price wise we were pleasantly surprised when the bill arrived considering the amount of food and drink we had gone through! The Swan and Cygnet will continue to be on our favourite eateries stops, well done!

We held my dads celebration of life at the swan and the buffet, staff, everything was just amazing. They 100% accommodated for everything we wanted and they made such a difficult day a real breeze. Fraser went above and beyond for us and that meant so much.

Thank you everybody at The Swan and Cygnet xxx

Great food... Not your average pub grub ... Recommend Fish and Chips ... Best I've had for many years

User

Great food from a select menu of pub favourites and a daily specials board.

Nice surroundings in the restaurant area where booking is essential for busy times. You can also eat in the pub area if you prefer less formality or cant get a table in the restaurant.

I eat here regularly as its my local pub but the quality of the food is really great. I can't recall having a bad meal. Any minor issues are sorted quickly and courteously. Sunday lunch is particularly good with fresh cooked veg and a good selection of roasts.

Highly recommended

Amazing food and service every time.

User

Amazing excellent service and food was lovely. Will definitely be eating here again.

User

The food was good and well presented, service ditto, the only complaint we have is that on two occasions we have asked for the fish to be skinned and both times it wasn't, apart from that I would very much recommend it

User

Lovely village pub with nice people service a little slow but forgiven as good food

User

Haven't been here since I lived in Swanland over 15 years ago! What a difference. The food was excellent, very good value compared to the ever increasing number of poor quality chain pubs that seem to be opening every 2 mins with an apprentice armed with a freezer and a microwave! We will definitely be back! Front garden was also much improved and handy for the kids to blow off some steam! (Who needs a play area when you have a grassy hill to roll down!)

User

Always enjoy a Sunday lunch here. Slight disappointment today, we both went for the pork but they had no apple sauce and neither of us got crackling!

A couple of minor points and we didn’t let it ruin our lunch
