The Swan Inn

We had to wait 4 5 minutes for the meal two of us had hunter chicken and the other two had duo of lamb. The hunter chicken was OK but really a child portion, the lamb we really could not taste any lamb flavour and the whole meal was bland and tasteless. We paid £14.25 each for the lamb and l felt like going over to new customers comming in not to have the lamb. We have been on the Norfolk broads for three weeks and all of the meals and take away we had were lovely. I would never recommend the swan to anyone and when we come up again in March we will not be going there. We. Have been comming up for over 15years and this was the worst meal we have had.

Delicious food. I ordered salmon with peppers which initially came with just one tiny pepper. The staff were great and just from overhearing my disappointment brought out a small plate with some more. Job well done.

Food was ok. Pricey for what it was. ( Fish and chips). Little things let it down. No salt and pepper on the tables. Dogs allowed in the bar area where food is served. Smoking was banned quickly enough in pubs but still smelly dogs are allowed in and food is present. Not good enough in my eyes. Bar staff had little or no idea of customer service. Shame as this could be a great place.

Nice pub in a great location by the waterside. However the food was expensive and poorly prepared. 2 out of 5 meals were sent back and another was quite poor. Service was hit and miss, no table check made.
£126 wasted.
Sorry but this pub is best avoided for food.

Lovely location and plenty of free parking but let down by lack of staff. On arrival only one member of staff serving at the bar and booking people into rooms. Lovely room but only 3 lights out of 5 working in room and only 2 lights out of 4 working in bathroom. We reported this on arrival but nothing was done about it no one to take cooked breakfast order on second morning so made do with continental breakfast. Tables outside not cleared from previous evening including smoking debris. Such a shame as it could be a lovely place to stay.

Fab Riverside gastro pub with great food and a magic atmosphere

Great setting, falls short on service and quality. Served the wrong meal after 50 mins, even though they are quiet. Still waiting after 40 mins for 2 scoops of ice cream. It's obvious staff are at wits' end.

Great location on the river. Good food, always excellent service even when busy. Whether for morning coffee, light snack, full three course meal or just a drink it's always good.

Delicious food and a wide selection of drink options available in absolutely beautiful surroundings. Sitting outside right by the river when the weather is good is simply delightful, friendly and helpful staff are an added bonus too!
