The Talpore Beefeater

Wife and went last night for my birthday. The staff went out of their way to make it a special night even sang happy birthday to me. Food was superb service was good would recommend

Just witnessed staff at Beefeater Talpore doing Heinrich manoeuvre on some poor guy. The staff did a fantastic job and all was well in the end. Well done to all the staff involved and glad the gentleman involved was ok in the end. Food and service carried on as normal. Very professional team.

I visited with my Mum and partner 2 weeks ago before attending Joe McElderry in concert and we were very warmly welcomed by Donna and Emma B who both took great care of us and attended to our every need. Food was superb and the service second to none!



Last Friday, I visited with my Mum and called around 4pm to make a booking for 6.15pm and Jack took our booking and found us the table we requested. He also came to check on us during the meal! The service from Emma B and Ronnie was again superb and they took time to have a friendly word! The Food, we both had steak, was beautiful... steaks to perfection, chips swapped for jackets as requested and extremely fresh salad!!



Tonight, my partner and I called in and were warmly welcomed and again greeted by Donna, Emma and Ronnie who always have smiles on their faces..as well as another girl (I think called Chloe... who is always very friendly).



Other businesses could learn so much from Natalie, the manager, and her staff. Customer service is outstanding and a very genuine, friendly welcome always awaits you!



Not to mention the food... always fresh, cooked as requested and always hot and beautifully presented.

Unfortunately they were sold out of sirloin steak but was recommend to try the rib eye which was soo tender and even better value with the 40% discount with the beefeater promotion . We had dinner in the Talpore, with friends the evening before taking part in the Resolution Run on Sunday 11th March :) Despite being quite busy, we didn't have to wait long to get drinks or orders taken for food, and when the food did come it was very well cooked! Our server, Emma B was lovely, and very helpful. Emma even made time to chat briefly to us after the run when we popped in for a cup of tea! Will definitely visit again when in the area.

Often call in for a drink and the staff are always chatty and friendly.

Went for breakfast and is ok for the money as kids eat free. Sausage is poor quality and bacon salty but everything else cooked was really nice and you could order the eggs to your liking. Shame that the fruit was not topped up and missed having a choice of yogurts. But for the money it was ok. Looked at night menu and it looked very expensive for a chain pub! Will return for breakfast.

The fact you were busy does not justify waiting 2.5 hours for 3 courses in my opinion. 1hr 15 between starter and main.



More staff (in kitchen?), better ticket management, and better communication of wait time to tables from waitresses would be a good start.

Asked for blue sirloin steak well it came out medium rare at a push then to be told after complaint there's no sirlion left... meal was took bk and replaced as a fillet which I know is a better cut but to wait 25 minutes for blue steak total joke. As for the duty manager absolute joke no customer service skills what's so ever Beefeater management I suggest you send him on a excellent customer service course as he needs it. 1.99 for a jkt potato still looking for the potato as it was the skin that arrived and was even fobbed off with that. I complained to the male manager about being charged for the chips. He said that it was like buying one drink and us all sharing it. Utterly ridiculous. We paid for 11 meals. Only 4 of us had one chip refill each. (When 5 of us had the meal that included free refills.) Hardly us buying one meal and all sharing. I found his attitude very offensive.Incredibly poor customer service and all over a bowl of chips for £2.99.



At an already upsetting time when we had lost a loved one , this just added to our distress. All we wanted was a nice family meal.

We have been visiting this restaurant for many years with large groups of family members for Christmas and birthdays. We went last weekend to remember a special person in our family who had passed away.



Five members of our party of 11 had meals that included 'free refill chips'. Only 4 people ordered the refills. We were charged for one of these 'free refills' (as the waitress had seen my daughter eat a few of the chips from a bowl of refill chips when it wasn't part of her meal.) I guess the waitress didn't have enough work to do to be keeping such a close eye on us.



I complained to the male manager about being charged for the chips. He said that it was like buying one drink and us all sharing it. Utterly ridiculous. We paid for 11 meals. Only 4 of us had one chip refill each. (When 5 of us had the meal that included free refills.) Hardly us buying one meal and all sharing. I found his attitude very offensive.Incredibly poor customer service and all over a bowl of chips for £2.99.



At an already upsetting time when we had lost a loved one , this just added to our distress. All we wanted was a nice family meal.



So disappointed.

The service is really poor, had to wait about 45 minutes to get main meal. The quality and taste of food was horrible. All the vegetables tasted the same. Definitely would not use Beefeater again in a hurry.....really poor quality and service.

Shocking. Ordered a starter and main to come together. Waited 1 hour. Main turned up on it's own. Fish n chips with cold mushy peas and could have thrown the fish through the double glazing it was that hard and over cooked. I'm my way to KFC now

It was my birthday too. I went to the talpore again this week and had the same problem. I told the waitress I understand she has to advise customers but I'm very happy to eat it well done. She said the chef won't be happy and you will hear him screaming from here. In the end I cancelled my order and had something else. Why ask how people want food cooking and then refuse?? Why are the staff happy to do it on a lunchtime?

Wife and went last night for my birthday. The staff went out of their way to make it a special night even sang happy birthday to me. Food was superb service was good would recommend

Just witnessed staff at Beefeater Talpore doing Heinrich manoeuvre on some poor guy. The staff did a fantastic job and all was well in the end. Well done to all the staff involved and glad the gentleman involved was ok in the end. Food and service carried on as normal. Very professional team.

I visited with my Mum and partner 2 weeks ago before attending Joe McElderry in concert and we were very warmly welcomed by Donna and Emma B who both took great care of us and attended to our every need. Food was superb and the service second to none!



Last Friday, I visited with my Mum and called around 4pm to make a booking for 6.15pm and Jack took our booking and found us the table we requested. He also came to check on us during the meal! The service from Emma B and Ronnie was again superb and they took time to have a friendly word! The Food, we both had steak, was beautiful... steaks to perfection, chips swapped for jackets as requested and extremely fresh salad!!



Tonight, my partner and I called in and were warmly welcomed and again greeted by Donna, Emma and Ronnie who always have smiles on their faces..as well as another girl (I think called Chloe... who is always very friendly).



Other businesses could learn so much from Natalie, the manager, and her staff. Customer service is outstanding and a very genuine, friendly welcome always awaits you!



Not to mention the food... always fresh, cooked as requested and always hot and beautifully presented.

We had dinner in the Talpore, with friends the evening before taking part in the Resolution Run on Sunday 11th March :) Despite being quite busy, we didn't have to wait long to get drinks or orders taken for food, and when the food did come it was very well cooked! Our server, Emma B was lovely, and very helpful. Emma even made time to chat briefly to us after the run when we popped in for a cup of tea! Will definitely visit again when in the area.

Often call in for a drink and the staff are always chatty and friendly.

Will return for breakfast.

The fact you were busy does not justify waiting 2.5 hours for 3 courses in my opinion. 1hr 15 between starter and main.



More staff (in kitchen?), better ticket management, and better communication of wait time to tables from waitresses would be a good start.
