The venue is nice and warm, feels like a mix between a real ale pub and a modern craft beer bar, but manages to combine them well together. The Cask ale display behind the bar is not only good for space but is a nod to Britain's great beer heritage. Food from the pop up lords of doughtown is fantastic. I would recommend the Bones Brigade.

Good selection of beers on tap and friendly staff. The bar is a bit echoey though so if there’s much noise going on can be hard to hear your friends. Still, fun place.

User

Every time I come here it's a completely different set of real ales which is brilliant as a person who enjoys trying new ales.

I know they do it for spacial reasons, but I don't think the kegs on display behind the bar looks good. The metal kegs aren't pretty and very never intended for show, wheres the spirit bottles are shelved to one side or above. I really like the American IPA. It was absolutely dead on the Sunday evening of a bank holiday.

Loving the place. Great choice of kegs and cask

User

Big bar with plenty of big tables. Great place to go with a large group.Good beer selection and pizzas too

User

Trendy, good selection of beers, good service, moderate prices. Nice place for a group of friends or a quiet drink.

It's all about the beer. Stripped back decor. Nice rotating selection of craft ales. Usually they have some hot food from a pop-up outfit. It's fairly small and 'shop' shaped, so lacks a touch of the local pub atmosphere.

Really nice barman working last night. Gave us tasters without even asking. Great selection of beer, many I hadn't seen before. Also nice outside smoking area with heaters. Will visit again.

User

No gluten free beer but a lovely bar and relaxed atmosphere nonetheless.

User

Cool bar, good music, great selection if you like ale, less so if you like lager. Staff were very knowledgeable and friendly

User

Great selection of cask and keg beers, but can vary depending on what's on/off. Stripped back decor and communal tables make for a trendy vibe
