Very friendly and welcoming staff and owners. Seems highly popular with visitors and locals alike. Decent menu...although priced to match Edinburgh, Cardiff or London...not Alnwick.

Free WiFi, parking can be difficult on weekdays. Not the greatest choices in beers...but some lovely wines.

The Tavern has become a regular stop when we are house-hunting in Northumberland. Great burgers, made on the premises and those lovely soft chips with plenty of flavour.

A quick stop for lunch but, as on previous occasions, worth stopping by for.

Good food, incredibly slick service. Slightly pricey. Sharing starter was excellent.

Very accommodating staff, food good. We are in bar which had a lovely traditional feel with locals in having a pint. (My brother reported beer to be excellent). We didn't stay here but I would consider it next time as rooms looked nice.

Came here for food two nights in a row, because it's absolutely delicious, service is friendly, food came out quickly, would recommend the steak or the pork belly

Well worth the decision to eat here. Hearty meals although a mix up on gluten free. It don't spoil our meal and they clearly do a good trade with many people in and out for meals. Highly recommended
