We stopped in by chance with the kids for some lunch and was so glad we did. The lady on the bar was amazing and friendly and the food was some of the best we have ever eaten. Highly recommend here to all.

The Terrace is THE place in York to watch any significant sporting event, from terrestrial coverage to live pay per view screenings or just to watch the football results roll in on a Saturday afternoon. It has a great atmosphere, an excellent selection of beers, friendly staff and a prime location at the top of Fossgate near the famous Shambles. They have hosted the coverage of England's World Cup run brilliantly with a pre and post-match Enlgland song 'disco' for every game. Wonderful stuff!

Recently visited for an event and the buffet was perfect. A great selection and fillings in sandwiches/wraps were very generous. Great service and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to my friends �

Lovely place, came in with a few friends for a meal and we were not disappointed food was fantastic. The drinks selection was varied and the staff were really helpful and lovely. Will be returning and would recommend this place to anyone.

Great atmosphere, although sport on tv the music is on also (and is brilliant 👍) On the first night we had food as well as drinks, the food is great and very reasonably priced. All the staff were friendly and polite, will definitely return to this bar on our next visit to York.

Excellent selection of beers/ciders/wines. Plenty of attentive bar staff so you don't have to wait ages! A FANTASTIC atmosphere for the recent England games! Also, a very warm welcome from the landlord and his wife.

Brilliant pub great atmosphere and no problems accommodating a large group of us....... unlike most of the pubs in York..... and the door men were a big help telling us where we were better off going after our visit to you ...... thank you boys xxxx

Best pub in york and one of the cleanest went in to a few dirty pubs but the terrace was the best. great food and and plenty of choices of beers and lager + every spirit u can think off so definitely will be going back soon and Paul and Kim can't do enough for you.so best pub for me

Went in there to watch the England v Sweden quarter final World cup, Considering it was heaving, didn't have to wait to long to get served. Barstaff were spot on, lovely beer garden as well with big screen. I would definitely go back there. I would highly recommend it to others. Bit pricey but it is York.

To say it was a very busy lunchtime the staff were very polite/ helpful. The food was hot & well cooked, been before & will go again.

Worst pub I've ever went to. I was overly polite and still received an attitude from the lady that works there. All we wanted to do was have a pint and watch the football. Do not go there!

Seemed a nice pub but jobsworth bouncers throw you out if you stay a little past 11 pm, if your face doesn't fit. If it does you can stay till 12pm and see the end of the darts. Avoid and go to a decent pub. The tellies are on too loud - must think you are deaf. Too expensive.

Rude staff, will never go back. Enjoyed being stared at by staff.
