We hosted a 21st birthday party on Saturday, a vintage tea party for 40 suited and booted guests. Our meringues are always a firm favourite😋

Our burgers are back, the beef burger is always a firm favourite, but why not have a smoked mozzarella salad with our homemade spiced pears or a chocolate and orange cheesecake as well?

As part of our Bank Holiday burger special there’s also beef with Hereford Hop cheese and onion rings, Moroccan-style lamb with beetroot and horseradish relish or cumin-spiced red lentil with corriander and yogurt sauce to choose from.

We have said Goodbye and Good Luck to Bryony Godfrey,the youngest of four Godfrey sisters today, as she leaves to start her career in London. Fern Godfrey started working for us in 2003, quickly followed by Anna Godfrey (on the right) Juliet Godfrey( on the left) and lastly Bryony Godfrey( centre) All worked here while they were at school, 6th form and University, before going on to make their way in the world. They have all been lovely girls, who looked after our customers so well. Thank you all so much for all your work, we will remember you all with fondest, it was a pleasure having you all as part of our team.

We had a great night at a private party here. It's a great pub and we'll be back to try the great looking evening menu. Stayed over, the room and breakfast were fantastic.

Outstanding, lovely people, lovely food and accommodation.

I was here for 6 days whilst working and I will definitely re visit for a short weekend break.
