Lovely views, service and most importantly food! Hughly recommended

Stopped off here today on our way to Cragside. We had booked but were running late. Rang up and it wasn't a problem. We all had the carvery and it was beautiful. A choice between lamb, beef, pork and turkey. The lamb was delicious as were the stuffing balls and mint gravy. We managed to fit in a dessert too. Can highly recommend the lemon and lime cheese cake! Staff were friendly and atentative. We were sat infront of the large window with great views of the hills. The kids couldn't resist a quick run around in the garden after dinner. This was our first time here but we would definitely come back if we're in the area again. Looks like a good spot for a summers day.

A warm welcome with tasty carvery, local ales and a great dessert menu. Reasonably priced for the location, booking ahead is essential.

Wonderful evening meal. At the time of booking we were told that there would be a large party in and the restaurant asked us to book our meal before 7pm or after 8pm. Was nice to have a restaurant being honest about their capabilities to ensure good service. Food was excellent - in fact, faultless. Service was prompt, courteous and efficient, even with the demands of the party. Staff were friendly and chatty without being intrusive. Table, cutlery, crockery and glassware were spotless. I only wish more restaurants could be to this standard. Well done Three Wheats.

Room was ok and breakfast good. Serving staff were brash and not exactly customer friendly. Food was Ok but nothing special.

Went in for a Sunday lunch. The carvery was sublime with generous helpings of homely type foods. Special mention for the rare beef. The service was also very friendly and efficient while the cost was regarded as being great value. You can't go wrong with any of that.
