As some of you may already know, Beth Hilton is leaving us to complete some charity work in Sri Lanka!
She will be hosting a charity quiz night at the pub on Wednesday 20th February at 7pm. There will be nibbles at half time, a raffle and lots of other great prizes!
No need to book - just turn up with your friends and family and have a great team name ready! All for a great cause.

We had a lovely meal for Mother’s Day here. The service was excellent as usual, the food was great, in particular the children’s meals which were a perfect size for my 5 & 2 year old, they ate every last bit and very healthy options with just smaller portions of the adult menu. Thank you to Dave and the team for making my Mother’s Day so special and perfect.

We had a fantastic meal here last week, but my mum would've struggled to walk back to our boat and we wanted to call a taxi, however the manager very generously offered us all a lift home. A fantastic pub with fabulous staff! Highly recommended!

We called in as we were on our way home from a wknd away, the staff were very friendly service was quick our dog frankie was allowed in which was great, we had 3 courses all of which were first class and very tasty we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and would definitely recommend to others

Visited here with family on Good Friday. The pub was busy (which is always a good sign). We took advantage of Fizz Friday (3 4 2 on fizz drinks) and had the most amazing Strawberry Bellini’s - very enjoyable.



For my meal I was torn between the lasagne and the carbonara. After asking for a recommendation I went for the carbonara and I’m so pleased I did. Wow, I have to say it was possibly the nicest carbonara I’ve ever had out. It had huge pieces of chicken in, loads of bacon and it was served with 2 delicious pieces of garlic bread. Often garlic bread in pubs can be greasy, this wasn’t at all.



The drinks and food were truly wonderful. This was also topped off with super friendly service. Thanks for a great time, we’ll definitely be back!

Stayed here for two nights recently and it was fantastic! Excellent value for money, very clean and well presented, the food was beautiful, and the service was impeccable. The young man who runs it (I didn't catch his name) clearly works very hard and is very well suited to his job! Thankyou!

Popped in here today with my fella and folks on the way back from North Wales to Worcestershire. Very pleased with the menu (my fella is a veggie and for a change had a choice) and the table service. Proper home cooked food in lovely surroundings and with a warm and friendly service. Would definitely go back and recommend ��

Just home with full bellies after our Fathers day lunch.

All courses were outstanding, beautifully fresh and cooked to perfection. The cask ales selection for the fathers were a lovely touch. The waiting on staff were all lovely and attentive , as is Dave the manger. Feels like a home from home. 10/10 well done everyone.

I booked a 3 course meal for 17 people for my wife’s 60th birthday on Saturday the 10th of February and it was absolutely perfect. We pre ordered our food as there was things we wanted that weren’t on the menu, the starters arrived promptly on 7:30pm as requested and were all lovely, they even brought out the children’s main courses with our starters to save them waiting. The main courses were all exceptional, great quality of beef and chicken and I thought the chefs did a brilliant job of the steaks considering there was 11 of them on to order at they same time so it must of been difficult to get them all to the correct heat. Desert was spoke very highly of ESPECIALLY they Creme brûlée which was gorgeous (perhaps make it a permanent fixture on your menu). Overall the food was brilliant, staff very happy and friendly and the owner even let us join our other family who were staying in the B&B for breakfast the next day! Thank you Team Tollemache, we will defiantly return �

Had a lovely meal on Saturday night with my daughter's. Food was really good thank you to the new chefs and Dave as welcoming as usual.. highly recommended

Gem of a pub , stumbled on it today on our way home from a day out . Spotless clean , fabulous home made food and really friendly staff �.�

Came for tea tonight after calling in the barbridge just before the tollemache arms and im so glad we did, it was our first time coming here and it was beautiful staff were lovely and extremely helpful cant recomend enough hopefully will be returning for fathers day next sunday

Came for a drink, but just had to have the Sunday lunch, was delicious with proper perfect Yorkshire puds and real gravy. Gorgeous food, lovely staff and beautiful surroundings. Will definitely be back, and would certainly recommend. Xxx

Came across this place on the way back from Chester university today. Amazing, beautiful place. There’s a warm and friendly welcome as you walk through the door. Proper country pub. The food was outstanding and good value. Hope my daughter chooses to go the Chester unit as I can’t wait to go back to this fabulous pub. Thank you x

A lovely welcoming pub and fantastic lunch menu.. all fresh food no microwave yuck! Even offered my dog a bowl of water ... it was raining so couldn't sit out in the garden but looked nice . Staff are friendly and helpful. If in the area again we will definitely stop in again !!

A fantastic find on the way back from Cheshire Oaks will definitely be popping in again fantastic food at a great price plus a good selection of trad ale.

We love going here The people that served us were polite and the food was spot on definitely be revisiting

Scampi was the best I have ever had, lovely chips and hot peas brilliant.



My wife's pie on the other hand not so good with the crust not fully cooked.



But fair play to them they did exchange it and didn't charge for it.



Would go again if ever we're in that area as it was clean throughout and would like to try the beer garden when it warms up a bit.



The Robinson smooth beer was excellent
