The Gin fest is over 😢 It was a great success thanks to everyone that has come to the Ale Hose over the last few days.
Now we will sit back and relax for a bit and plan next year's Gin fest.
... We've received lots of comments and praise and also some good suggestions for cocktails which include gin. We will draw the raffle today and advise the winners asap. Cheers for now 😀

Well all I can say is . . . wow, wow, wow!! What a day. Thank you so much to everyone that came to the Ale House today. Really great atmosphere at the Gin fest today. It was good to see people who would not normally drink gin giving them a try. The Pansies seemed to be a big hit as decoration in the drinks. Thank you to Savin Nursery for letting me raid the Pansy isle! Good to see the lovely folks from Shillington too. All in all a superb day and although we are a bit tired we get to have more fun tomorrow. We are just putting up some more ales and then heading home. 😊

Day 4 of the Gin Fest . . . open at 12 noon today as usual.
It seems that the Boe Violet, Bakewell Gin and the Baked Apple & Salted Caramel are the most popular at the moment, followed by a few of the fruity ones - Pink Gin from Spain, Whitley Neill Raspberry and the Whitley Neill Blood Orange.
It is interesting to see people recognising the gins and have had some of them to try at home. ... If you find a gin that you really like at our Gin fest I can order it for you - please ask for details.
See you later . . . .

Great start to the Gin Fest yesterday . . . . I can't say at this time whether any particular gin stands out or is selling the most. Early days yet! The garnishes look so good with the gins - they make for a real taste and aroma experience.
We are open as usual at 4pm today, going through to 11pm.
We have a raffle running in the Gin Fest, see poster for details.

The Gin Festival starts today . . . We are open from 4pm as usual and it's going to be a busy day as we complete the final preparations for the festival.
As mentioned previously, 80 gins to choose from, from Europe, USA, South Africa, Iceland, Japan.
... We have carried out some research in order to find you the 'perfect serve'. The garnishes we have for various different gins include, rosemary, mint, coriander, apple, orange, strawberries. Tonics from Fever-Tree: Mediterranean, Aromatic, Elderflower, Indian, Light, Ginger Ale, Lemon.
It's all coming together nicely! See you there.

The Gin Fest week has finally arrived - Yay!! Starting from tomorrow, normal opening time you will have 80, yes I said 80 lovely Gins to choose from. In our original post for this event we said 75 but we miscounted - hey what's 5 more between friends. The format will be similar to last year, whereby you can purchase G&T as usual and there will be in tasters available at £1. Also this year we are running a raffle, prizes include presentation box of tonics sent through from F...ever-Tree, mixology kit, bottle of Gin and also a mixed box of tonics, plus a little book of Gin, Tonics & Garnishes and Fever-Tree bottle opener. We hope everyone has a great week enjoying the Gins and good atmosphere at the Ale House. Normal supply of ales available throughout the week. So gentlemen, bring your ladies down for a G&T while you sit and enjoy an ale or two! See you there . . .
