This Years New Years Eve Party has now been organised and tickets are now on sale👀Tickets are £20 each and include entry, hot pot supper, a glass of bubbly at midnight and hosting by the awesome DJ Jon Kane, who promises a fantastic evening of ‘dance through the decades’. Tickets are sold on a first come, first served basis and are restricted so please get yours soon to avoid disappointment. Last year tickets sold out very quickly and many people sadly missed out. What a fantastic night, thank you for your support, a complete sell out👀The feedback received has been fantastic, we are so glad everyone enjoyed themselves and enjoyed the delicious food. We will be having our next theme night, our Chinese Night on the Thursday 15th November, the last bash before the big launch of the Christmas Menu on the 1st December. We hope that the Chinese Night will be just as successful, the menu will be published shortly, please book early to avoid disappointment.

We celebrated our first anniversary here and the food and drinks complemented with excellent service was well worth the visit.

Very good well thought out and presented meals. Pub has very traditional, cosy and countryside feel. Staff are excellent- welcoming, attentive and friendly - pleased with our new local!!

This was our first visit to the Travellers Rest after being recommended to us .

We thought the food was excellent and the ambience in the back dinning room was was really welcoming .I have to mention the the two ladies who served us ,they where extremely attentive and made our stay very enjoyable . We saw the meals being served to other guests and I can't wait to try the rest of the menu!! As we only live 5 min drive away I think we've found our regular GO TO restaurant!! Thanks for a lovely meal!!

The food is amazing by far the best Pub food I’ve ever had. The staff are so amazing make u feel so welcome definitely recommend this pub to anyone of any age ���

Thank you for a lovely meal we had there for a family occasion today. The only slight issue was wheelchair access. To use the entrance I had to be helped up a large step and then through a very narrow door, which my wheelchair just about got through. Anyone with a wider or bigger chair than mine may struggle to use the entrance. I'm not sure if there is an alternative entrance for wheelchairs, or if anything can be done to rectify this. Apart from this small issue we all had a very enjoyable meal

Sunday lunch here today had a few drinks in the lovely beer garden then had a Sunday lunch which was amazing, the staff could not do enough for you, had a lovely afternoon there would defo recommend ... I’ll be back well to the team .....

Called after the races for some drinks and food, Sat outside in the garden enjoying the last of the sun what a lovely spot, Great friendly staff, fantastic food would recommend Salt and pepper chicken and chips, and also the fish and chips, great venue with great prices, will be definitely going back and would recommend to all

Bloody love this pub !! The food is awesome ,, never had one bad meal here ... My favourite by far is the starter ,Prawns in chilli and garlic cream sauce ,, sooooo good ��

Best Sunday roast I’ve had in a pub in such a long time, staff were amazing and really accommodating as we had a pram with us too, can’t wait to go back!

Been put off going here from past experiences, however today has been amazing. Young waitress was extremely happy and helpful to us today, nothing too much trouble. Food was also gorgeous! �

Warm welcome Food ok if a little expensive. Were told we would have to wait for a table as they were busy and one of our party was unfortunately a few minutes late. When we went into the dining room 10 minutes later there was only one other table occupied - so we were a little confused!

Food was hot and eatable

Afterwards we were asked to leave the dining room as they wanted to 'tidy up'

Staff were very pleasant and friendly. The bar is very cosy with a lovely log burner it had a feeling of a Countryside pub. It was so cold outside yesterday too. I went with my husband and 3 children for the first time and it was the first time in my life that I saw a sign at the door stating kids are welcome but if they make any noise you will be asked to leave. That didn’t happen thank God! The menue is very well laid out just enough on it and not 800 pages long like a lot of places. However I had the roast dinner and roast potatoes were burned and the meat was extremely rubbery so very disappointing. The kids had nugget and chips and chips were cold. My husband got a burger and asked for cheese on the side, it came in the side except they melted it first, he asked for it on the side as he hates melted cheese. Again staff were very pleasant which is important.

Very disappointed in the food here today every single meal was disappointing and we all had different meals. Fantastic staff though can't fault them at all but something definitely needs to be sorted in the kitchen because we come here a lot and both me and my mother in law bring the girls here for our Christmas meal and have really enjoyed it in the passed. Maybe bring the price down if your serving food like today!!
