TONTINE TAVERN OPENING! 😍😍😍😎😎😃 It’s about 3 weeks since The Troubadour closed. Following some refurbishment, The Tontine Tavern is planning to open in its place tonight. Please call in Tonight and give them your support. You might even bump into Lorna and I there. Follow them on www.facebook.com/tontinetavern and @thetontinetavern on all social media. Thanks. The pub will be closed until 12th January when it will reopen under new ownership and with a new name. Thanks for all your support & some great times. We will see you around! Lorna and Mark xx

THE TROUBADOUR'S LAST STAND As most or many of you will know, Lorna and I will be handing over The Troubadour next week. Trevor & Tnaesha will be welcoming you in the new year after a couple of weeks for handover and a bit of redecoration. Rest assured that you will receive the same warm welcome and sense of community spirit, along with quality ales, cider and wine, and probably a lot more as time goes on. Please give them your support. Our last night is Sunday (tomorrow). Th...ere will be impromptu music and no doubt a great deal of merriment. Please come and join us.
We have enjoyed our 2 years (nearly), more than we could ever have imagined possible, but we have too many other things on our plates to continue. It's hard to let go, but it needs to grow and be busier as a venue and it requires younger people with more energy than us. 2 years before handing over was always our plan. We want to thank our customers and suppliers, along with our many superb musicians and poets, for their support and in many cases valued friendship. We are staying in Folkestone and hope to enjoy spending time with some of you, released from the responsibilities of being landlords. Thank you, Lorna & Mark

What an excellent micropub! I only had time for a swift pint but the choice of beers was good and the owners friendly. I shall return and perhaps leave a fuller review.
We were the first customers through the door on the opening day and very proud of it, as this is a great new arrival to the creative quarter. Great beers and lovely people. Look forward to returning very soon.

Love The Troubadour. Really friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Other customers happy to chat too, or not. They're even nice to our dog and our kid. Great beer and decor. Go there :)

Called in while killing time during a visit to the town for work. Lovely people; tried the excellent cheese board and a ginger beer(as I was driving). Highly recommended,
