Went for a evening meal for Dad’s birthday. Cannot say a bad word about it! Order the bread and olives to start and then 4 main courses. Everyone’s plates were clean and we were all royally stuffed by the end. Absolutely brilliant food and wonderful staff!

User

Love this place ! Especially as we can bring our puppy for a nice afternoon drink . Friendly staff x

Hi, Myself and my mum came for Sunday lunch today and we both have to say it was the best and nicest roast at a pub or restaurant we have had. I don't normally go for the roast option as none normally match the home made roast but what we had today was lovely. The best cauliflower cheese ever too. It was nice and quiet as they do not play football. So 10 out of 10. Would definitely recommend and go back again.

Have been twice now. Lunch and dinner. Perfect location and loved the incentive of a gin fizz and Birthday prosecco offers. The butternut squash andbeetroot tart was huge and the kids loved their rustic pizzas and mini sliders too. Altogether a very meal for the 9 of us. 😊

Great restaurant service was excellent food is declious will definitely be going back. My dad dropped £50 on the floor and waitress gave it to my nephew who works there!!!! Honest people. Thank you to who found it!!!!

Went for a quick lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. It was quiet. We ordered olives, pizza and prawn linguine. The olives came out, had a few but didn't particularly like the look of them (green with a tinge of blue). The food came out quickly, hot and tasty. The main waiter/bar man was very attentive and had a sence of humour. I only mentioned in conversation that I didn't like the olives with that he spoke to the staff regarding them and next refunded us the price of the olives. The decor is nice but some of the furniture is "tired" and the walls need a lick of paint.

Monday lunchtime. No steak sandwich, no beef burgers, no southern fried chicken and god knows what else they didn’t have.

Food took over 40 mins to arrive. Was average. Fries tasted like they’d been fried, and fried again many times.

Whilst waiting to be served I saw the ‘chef’ go back and forward from a microwave clearly visible just inside the kitchen door. Presumably not so fresh then?

Shame, as it’s a nice place to sit in the garden with a beer but based on this experience, I wouldn’t hurry back.

User

It was ok service not great very slow , dinners arrived all at different times and too far apart , food was lovely but service let it down. Wouldn't mind bit it wasn't over busy .

User

Once we got the food it was very nice, but it took so long coming. Only one person waiting table. As I say the food was very nice.

User

My friends and I went to the Tudor Rose last night I have to say I was very disappointed with the service last night. The staff do not acknowledge who is standing at the bar. Other people were being served before us. When I returned later at the bar to order the drinks the bar man just took the bottles. I asked for some drinks the bar man had no manners at all. I have to say I'm very disappointed to call this my local and it is not cheap. I think I will be drinking else where.

User

Locals swearing, poor quality beer and staff that couldn’t be bothered to serve..

Birthday lunch with 8 of my friends and family booked 2 weeks earlier. An hour before due to sit down got a call to say that there was no heating. No choice at that late stage to go anywhere else. Got there... freezing... even though staff did place precariously fan heaters and electric heaters . Only 2 staff serving so waited ages in between courses resulting in us all feeling colder and colder had to keep ordering hot drinks. When paying the bill after enduring 4 hours of February outdoor temperatures we were told that the heating had been broken for 4 weeks and that because I was warned beforehand I was not entitled to any of the extra hot drinks we had to order to be complimentary. .....never been treated so badly at a restaurant or felt so cold. Thank goodness my guests were so gracious about it all. Thanks a lot Tudor Rose you ruined my birthday.

User

As far as Decor goes, lovely. I had such high hopes the minute I walked in but sadly this was short lived with the service big exceptionally slow, I had to ask twice for water and the ultimate insult when our kiddies dessert of apple crumble were brought out in scoldering saucepans without any warning from the waitress to this effect leaving myself and a friends 6 year old daughter with burnt fingers having touched them.

Why a kids dessert is served in a scorching hot saucepan baffles me!

Not impressed!

User

Went for a Birthday Lunch with my Mum on 8th November, Food was really nice. It was not very busy and I was very disappointed in being rushed with our meals, we did not get a chance to digest our starter. The main course was put out straight away. We also had a member of staff hovering, who interrupted us rudely and listened in to our conversations. We didn’t feel comfortable with our whole experience. My birthday meal was not how I expected it to be.

User

Visited here today, used to be a lovely pub, gone downhill! Needs a refurb ASAP. Will not be returning unless something is done. Furniture is ripped, torn and dated, no music or atmosphere. Such a shame

User

The food ..if they have it is just normal pub buy in bulk food ..presented to look like fine dinning but having run pubs i know ..mass order micro wave food ..staff try hard ...

User

Rude, rude, rude. We have frequented this pub for many years but will give up now. Having spent a good deal of money in here we were waiting to be served well before Time was called just to be told we wouldn't be served. Won't visit again. Apparently the bar staff can't give the manager's name!!

User

New year's eve full of kids disrespectful parents who couldn't be bothered to watch them and got on other people's nerves I have kids but they would never behave like that not would my grandchildren respect and no one had it that night staff were useless apart from a couple of bar staff one was Andy very helpful and attentive and a young lady I don't know her name very professional apart from that a complete shambles and the audacity to charge a fee of £100 for booking a table sort your pub out it's a disgrace
