Rabbid ROM again doing an excellent job of controlling perfect boost and afr creating lovely smooth power curves.
Running switchable boost levels on sports button and boost limits in 1st and 2nd the power is controlled beautifully to deliver amazing levels of traction.

Just an update to our booking policy, as of the start of July we now take deposits for any Dyno related jobs, remapping, rental, adjustment etc.
The Dyno is a limited resource to us and due to a few recent no shows we will now be asking for a £60 deposit.
This deposit will be payable via PayPal online or over the phone by Credit or Debit card.
... We do suggest now that all enquiries and bookings are made by Phone rather than Facebook or Email.
We will allow you to cancel your booking upto 14 days before, we will allow you to move or postpone your booking upto 7 days provided it is Rebooked within 28 days.
Any car which fails to arrive in a Tuneable condition which cannot be repaired would be charged a £60 health check previously this will now be offset against the deposit already paid.
If for a reason we are unable to provide a service such as sickness or unexpected closure, dyno fault etc etc we will be able to refund the deposit or transfer to a new date.
Any parts fitment where we supply the parts will require the parts to be paid for before we will order them in, you can then settle the fitment of the parts on the day once the job is complete.

Fully Forged Z16LER ready to go in next week.
This is a full rebuild not just dropping pistons in, all tolerances and measurements were checked and adjusted to ensure optimum performance of this engine.
The engine had suffered a typical piston 4 issue without any visisble damage.
... In this case before building we found cylinder 4 while had it no scores was infact tapered and out of round which is something missed by many drop in replacement builds.
The pistons were measured and each cylinder wall was honed to exact clearance required for aftermaket pistons.
The pistons and were also weight balanced. While they claim to be within 0.1g out of the box it turns out they're not. So the rotating assembly parts were balanced before assembly.
Optimal ring gaps were set for the customers desired power levels and bearing clearances checked, thrust bearing clearance checked and adjusted etc.
Cylinder head was skimmed, leak tested and found some exhaust valves were leaking so valves were reseated.
We may not be the quickest but we will look to build a fully blueprinted engine then a quick slap together build.
We would expect a properly built engine would take 2-3 weeks to turn around if its being built properly.

Another car fighting the heatwave, Astra J VXR 372HP 400lbft
The factory MAF has a power reading limit around 340HP where on previous VXR generations we would simply switch out to a 90mm MAF this hasnt been so easy on the Astra J VXR.
After years of testing we've concluded the new Delco MAF systems just aren't up to the job for accurate mapping at 90mm so we are now mapping any high power Js in one of two ways.
... Split MAF / Speed Density or pure Speed Density without the need for a MAF.
Unlike previous generations of cars the ECU now has a proper speed density mode and proper sensors located in the manifold so the problems of MAFless from older cars are not true on the Astra J.
This car runs the dual stratergy utilising the standard sized MAF while cruising then switching over to speed density when power rises onto high boost.
This method maintains the economy and accuracy of the factory MAF under normal conditions and then is able to provide proper fuelling for cars exceeding 340HP.

Matts near as darn it 380hp Vectra C, give this a run on a cooler day perhaps a tad more!
But officially today made 378hp 430lbft (limited)

Astra H VXR supply and fit airtec intercooler then map.
Originally arrived with the CDTI conversion and produced 275HP we then later removed the box and saw 289HP.
I've said it over and over bin the box.
... Not bad results for 26C day
