Gig-pit Review - "Well, i dont even know what to say, apart from.......THIS MACHINE were absolutly amazing last night, one of the best......especially when the guitarists were on the tables and bar, haha. every song was awsome, perfect sound, and just all round exellence. And also it was the best atmosphere i've ever seen, everyone was havin fun." - GIG PIT REVIEW. One of the most entertaining bands on the circuit, music by MOTORHEAD - VAN HALEN - METALLICA - PEARL JAM - BON JOVI - GUNS N ROSES - DEEP PURPLE - AC/DC - BILLY IDOL - THIN LIZZY

Gigit review - "We headed to The Fox Cover in Ashington to see a new band for us, a band we have had in the listings for a while now and who's setlist was one that we quite fancied. Although we arrived shortly after they had gone of stage, we were very impressed form the start with some great songs that are not usually seen on a night out, including Aerosmith, Shinedown and Blackstone Cherry amongst others. The band were very tight and the vocals were top class and Adam has a... superb range that enables him to cover a vast collection of songs with The Darkness being pitch perfect and a very impressive vocal performance in the two Guns n Roses songs. The second set reverted back to classic rock with songs from Steppenwolf, Motorhead, AC/DC, The Who, Led Zeppelin and more. The band perform each song extremely well, but are not afraid to have some banter with the crowd and quite often Lee wandered through the crowd with either guitar in hand or mic when he set off to find various patrons to join in with Green Day. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining night and certainly a band that we'll happily return to see and would recommend to everyone."

BAND QUOTE - Fizzyfish are a band......... but what sort of band? We aren't rock...we aren't pop....were not indie or even punk........ We are the edges in between, we feed on the flux flowing through them all and fuse them all together. The subject matter of some of our songs can be a bit dark, but you wont care as you sing away oblivious to the hidden messages in these anthemic tunes, all plucked from our own Juke Box of Doom stretching from 1976 to nearly now and bac...k and forth. We try and pick songs that you will know, but not ones that every other band plays. Were not really a club, wedding or Barmitzvah band, you may find some parts of our set a bit anthemic a bit serious, you may find the humour a bit off the wall, the imagery a bit surreal, you may find you have a damn good night, a daaaaamn good night. The first set is designed to listen too, while you get comfy in your surroundings, the subliminal messages gradually turning you to drink, loosening your resolve, you may want to get up and dance and that would be great, but stick around for the second set as we know you will definetly feel the need to dance as the energy ramps up. We will then send you out into the world having journeyed through time and space, faced some demons and come out the other side full of fabulousness a humming and a smiling. The list of acts we cover evolves through time, most stuff is post punk, we could do classic rock, but there are other bands that cover that area really well and we suspect that we are a bit different,

One of the Turbinia's favourite bands Bio: MUGSHOT - a four piece band from the South Shields area playing modern and classic rock covers by bands such as Bon Jovi, Chilli Peppers, Kings of Leon, Metallica, Muse, U2, Van Halen & Whitesnake, to name but a few. "We hadn't seen this band before so we didn't know what to expect and boy did they rock The Hearts !! ;D Something for everyone in the set that had the dancers on their feet, the one's I remember were, U2, Whitesnake, Killers, Kings of Leon, Tom Petty, Nirvana, Guns n Roses, The Cult, Radiohead.....etc, all played and sung brilliantly !! If you haven't already seen this band, go and see them, you won't be disappointed.

Review - "Was this our best pub gig ever ?? Probably !!!! What can you say about FM , this was rock and metal utopia, a classic journey through the rock and roll hall of fame. They did the lot, Kaiser Chiefs, Foo Fighters,Sabbath, AC/DC, Zep and no real cheese, Ok they did Whisky in the Jar, but hey!! FM put a great amount of effort into this gig , sometimes mid week gigs just don,t seem to have the same WOW /OOMPH The atmosphere was great as was the music, a superb night. Wh...at is particularly pleasing is that FM don,t always take the easy option, i.e instead of sticking to Sweet Child Of Mine ,they did Welcome to The Jungle,so its nice to hear a year and on this performance many a year to come different GnR cover and one that takes a little more effort vocally. How long have FM been around now ?? Many a year and on this performance many a year to come. Thanks lads you were awesome."

Romeos Pistol - where the hell did they come from? This fresh faced dynamic three piece represent the next generation of live entertainment. A set list boasting the likes of up-to-date indie rock without missing out the golden oldies, the band have engineered a unique sound beginning with neat arrangements of the likes of Arctic monkeys, Kings of Leon and Oasis, coupled with beefed up rock twists of 80s classics such as 'don't you want me baby', 'superstition' and many more. ...Tom Backhouse (24) fronts the band on the impressive lead guitar and is also principle chanter with his raunchy vocals. David Lloyd (25) provides the guts with thumping bass lines throughout and Daniel K (33) gives the drums a relentless battering which altogether constitutes an energetic performance full of twists and turns. The band will take you on a nightlong tour where you can , rock to 70s punk, dance to 80s rock before singing your heart out to all the modern classics. Just to give a flavour in no particular order, Romeo's Pistol delve into some of the most loved tunes from the Stereophonics, Black Keys, Beatles, Buzzcocks, The Jam, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, U2, Oasis and many more. So, put your beer back in the fridge and get down to the local boozer for a night you may regret tomorrow but - 'at least not today'.
