FREE EVENT at the Vinson Centre on Tuesday. A rare opportunity to see the world-renowned historian Felipe Fernández-Armesto in our town! It promises to be an inspirational evening and Felipe will be signing books afterwards in our lovely new setting!

Beautiful Children’s Books are available at a huge 50% off throughout December with free gift wrapping. I hand pick every book and there are some wonderful ones that you won’t see anywhere else!

Poppy Field Update If you pre-ordered and paid for a copy of this book then your order will be fulfilled. We have taken the last of the stock (good work my lovely customers!) and they now won't be reprinting until January. This means the promotion has now finished BUT there will be others planned for key events over the next year. Thank you SO much for supporting this....taking a beautiful book into a school and explaining that it has been gifted to them has been one of the most joyful parts of running my little business. GREAT NEWS! We have sourced more copies of Poppy Field after leaving our supplier with zero copies earlier this week. That’s because you lovely lot have come out to take us up on our ‘buy one/donate one’ offer for your chosen schools. Your donated copy gets a dedication inside so people know who made the lovely gesture! We are extending the promotion until the end of next week as it’s been so popular and schools from Hemel Hempstead as far as Manchester have benefitted. Lovely stuff! Xxx

We have this beautiful book available in store. For every one purchased we will donate a copy to your preferred school and a pound is donated to the Royal British Legion. It is essential our children understand the true meaning of the poppy.

Pop down to one of the little hidden gems in Buckingham, The University of Buckingham Bookshop. Such a lovely selection of books, and all children’s books are half price on the shelf, what a find. I also picked up my copy of Poppy Field, with a second copy kindly being donated by the bookshop to the school of my choice.

Instead of buying your books via Amazon, why not support our local bookshop instead? They give a 10% discount on list prices, offer gift wrapping, will deliver to local customers and they can generally get books in within 48 hours. They may not be able to price match Amazon (though what I ordered today worked out cheaper once I included Amazon's postage) but they do pay their taxes! Buckingham University Bookshop, Hunter Street - I recommend them - great personal service with a smile and a chat - fab!

Brilliant local bookshop not only for university students, fantastic service with friendly staff. They can arrange book orders for you quickly with no fuss at a great price, excellent shop would recommend it to anyone.
