Went there last night for the first time and all I can say is wow fantastic food the decor in the Vernon is beautiful the staff are very friendly and rich you made our night very special thank you so much xx

We went for lunch on Saturday the food was amazing and the service was fab, really friendly. My little girl spilt her drink and the staff went out of their way to help, thank you we will highly recommend your inn ��

Never been here before but was very impressed. Superb food, efficient and friendly service. Plenty of choice for my husband too who has coeliac disease. According to the waitress the menu is being updated on 5th June to include even more gluten free options. We will definitely be returning

My complaint is that my bedroom door shut a little too slowly, but I guess I’m just being fussy and impatient here!? WiFi was Better in the room than in the bar. Friendly staff, big, hot, powerful shower. Duck for dinner was FANTASTIC. Brekkie perfect. Lovely, charming location. You won’t be disappointed!

It's not the cheapest food around but it is delicious and the staff are friendly and welcoming, and it's a nice atmosphere (fairly casual). We're local so pop by fairly regularly and we've never had a bad meal (or had to wait long for food)

Had a night with my husband and some friends. Absolutely beautiful place, staff are brilliant ,friendly and helpful and the rooms are lovely. Great location for a relaxing time away

Great place, nice staff, good clean accommodating room and most importantly, a good pint of Guinness. Grounds look fantastic so promising to return in the summer.

After a disappointment at another local hostelry last time out we were a little nervous booking Sunday lunch for eight of us but the Vernon did us proud yesterday. Friendly and courteous service throughout and really excellent food from starter to pudding. Also very good value, well done all and a special mention to Stuart and the kitchen staff.

Pub is lovely and the staff are helpful and friendly. My only criticism is the chips were over cooked and very greasy. I have eaten here many times and this is the first time I was disappointed with the food . Hopefully a one off . It hasn’t put me off

2nd visit here must say not as good as the 1st time different circumstances but dropped a star

Slow. 50 mins for a starter, then an hour for the main courses. Tried here 2 years ago and the service was slow, given it another go and it was worse. The food is lovely, but 1pm on a Sunday with barely anyone in the place is no excuse for such slow service.
