User

had a lovely afternoon tea with my aunt today. the staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us it was great.

i will definitely be going back again and taking my friends along.

User

What a lovely little place warm friendly staff and nothing to much trouble, food was very tasty and good selection, will definitely make this a regular place to visit.

User

What a fantastic place! Absolutely beautifully presented as both a tea room and an old fashioned, adorable sweet shop. The food was lovely, especially the cream scones but what made the visit so much better was how wonderful the staff were. So welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommend them. Thankyou for a lovely afternoon! xx

User

Went yesterday in a group of 4 girls. From start to finish the staff were so helpful and couldn't do enough for us. They allowed us to take in our own wine and even kept it cold for us and poured it for us.

The afternoon tea is gorgeous and well worth the £19.99 for two people. Scones were beautiful.

User

Spent a lovely couple of hours here, the afternoon tea is gorgeous, homemade and so fresh. The staff can't do enough for you and very friendly. Lovely atmosphere and the added treat of the little sweet shop in the corner. They also cater for gluten free which is an added bonus!

User

Popped in today after a muchly need cup of tea.... Service was lovely, scones were yummy and a quarter of sweets in the way out, oh and a good natter with the lovely ladies there (swapping ideas on biscuit flavours ) we'll definitely be calling in again xx

User

My first time going out for afternoon tea and it was sooo good! Me and my friends went for a mini baby shower and the staff were brilliant, so friendly and helpful, they couldn't do enough for us. Couldn't resist getting some sweets at the end, there was so many to choose from. Will definately be returning soon.

User

Lovely charming tea room where we enjoyed a much needed cream tea after shopping. Staff very polite and attentive. Will be visiting again x

User

I ended up here by accident. I went to Bents and it was heaving and spotted this gem. Took my friend and son today and had a lovely time and food was great Inc the gluten free afternoon tea.

User

Had afternoon tea with my daughters and baby granddaughter , great food, lovely atmosphere, staff very friendly, one of the best afternoon teas I have had. Highly recommend.

User

Found this little gem today and what a find!

The afternoon tea was beautiful and very reasonably priced, to top it off the staff where very welcoming and the service impeccable... will most certainly be visiting again soon.

User

First visit found by chance, to me it's like a hidden gem. Had the breakfast for my lunch so good 😊 and such lovely staff too 😍

User

Brought my mum for lunch as a birthday treat. She had soup and a sandwich (which she couldn't finish as there was lots !). I had a jacket potato with tuna (my favourite). We both had a great lunch and even took some cake away for later. Thanks for making my mums birthday lunch a special one.

User

Stumbled on this on the way to bents. We knew the cafe there would be packed so we were so pleased to find this lovely tea room . Just had cream scone & tea but was lovely & all served in China cups & leaf tea . Will be back as they have an extensive menu

User

Spied our chance and called in as was passing by and saw that there wasnt many people in (its usually chocker!) So happy that we did. Hubby had a lovely fresh cooked breakfast and I had soup of the day with a sandwich. Both were excellent. Service was smooth friendly and efficient. Will definately call again to try the cakes that looked delicious.

User

Quite cosy place for a cream tea. Chat with friends or have a tasty snack.

User

Went for breakfast. Very nice little shop and reasonable price for breakfast. Let down by a few minor things. Tablecloth covered in crumbs, clearly hadn't been cleaned before we sat down. Most of the food was good, but eggs were way over done, had black stuff on the top and cooked in some kind of mould yolk was hard and white rubbery. Sausage was also small, different lengths, but tasted ok.

Coffee was good and service was mainly good, but staff shouting across the cafe to a regular sat with a guy who appeared to work there, or was related to someone who worked there was uncomfortable for us and when that started we left as quickly as we could pay.

In summary, reasonably priced, average food but a lovely setting. Let down by attention to detail.

User

Was a nice little shop nice food but overpriced for the scones, the cake away was very small and for £3 a slice of very dry cake I was stunned at..they was debating in the shop about holidays and this should have been taken els where as we came in for a quiet cup of tea and breakfast quite unprofessional

User

Went for mothers day afternoon tea. Sandwiches were nice, shop bought cakes were nice. However charging £35.99 for 2 people is very over priced for what you get, 4 triangle sandwiches, 1 cake, 1 scone, 1 shot of jelly. ( price wasnt advertised anywhere). Didnt get the advertised chocolates or "selection of cakes" and when i mentioned it the owner offered to take £1 off. I paid £4.00 less and politely gave my reasoning. The owner chased me out and asked why, i explained it was overpriced and we didnt get what was advertised. She was very rude and challenged me to get it cheaper elsewhere. In addition to this i find it very unhygenic that you spray the table cloths with kitchen cleaner and wipe stains off apose to changing the cloths. Definitely will not be recommending nor returning.
