We hired out an area in The Vineyard to host a party for our friends and family. Well what can I say, from the very beginning point of initial contact with the manager to trying to set everything up on the day, the staff were so helpful and hospitable. Our guests loved this beautifully decorated pub and we have all come away feeling very pleased and impressed. Thanks guys for an awesome day! 100% recommend.
We held a great baby shower here, we reserved the tables in the area to the back and was allowed to decorate the area with banners, balloons and table decorations. The bar already looked good with christmas decorations too. Helpful, friendly staff. Good choice of food and drink. Very recommmened. Will be back soon.
Great atmosphere music spot on bar staff was a little under staff but great service amazing night great security
Excellent night music wicked, cocktails wow staff were friendly apart from one bar man who said a comment to my mate which ruined her night as it was about her looks so she felt humiliated and so upset, we gave him a mouthful loll, it hasn’t put me off going back he was just an ignorant one member of staff
Overpriced, and had to wait ages for a drink, bar staff had no idea who was next in the queue
Had a good night music great the only thing is they need more bar staff and I found the drinks dear but over all a nice place for any night out come on the vineyard more bar staff
Seriously?! Waiting by the bar 30 min to order a drink ! Mood killer small tip for the future if you have 2 big groups coming over at the same time at least you can cut the lime in advance the decor is nice though
Looking from the outside looked the perfect place to meet for pre concert food & drinks , food came out separate like 20 minutes after each dish ,took over a hour all in all for 3 orders that we ordered at the same time .. no staff cleaning tables outside so dirty plates & glasses .. homeless coming around begging for money not very pleasant whilst your sat trying to eat , not run well at all , not enough staff for the amount of customers esp on a busy football /concert day .. shame as perfect location & nice looking pub plus 2 friends both sick they ate the same & had to leave the concert early .. disappointing.
Food took ages to come, people who ordered after us got theirs first and only got ours when we reminded them we were waiting. Lots of problems with the drinks too as lots of faulty lines. Glad the company I was with were amazing or would have moved on!
Cool place but ID everyone.... 40 year olds get IDed ridiculous security!!!! Take there job way to seriously.......Over priced on drinks. Bar staff are friendly but extremely slow at serving and don't seem to notice who's at the bar so tend to serve everyone before you.
Words cannot describe my disappointment of this place.
So a friend and I arranged a surprise party for another friend's birthday. We had a huge hassle to even book a table but eventually got there. Plans in place, it was party night.
I arrived with another bunch of our friends to get to the table and set up. We all got in just fine. The queue for the bar to get our table was absolutely ridiculous and we found people were sitting on our table so we had to get them to move and get someone to clean it so we could set up - despite the fact we booked well in advance, like two months in advance!
Moving onto birthday girl's arrival, the bouncers wouldn't even let her into the Vineyard because it was so busy. Again, despite the fact we booked well in advance. My friend had to pull a bouncer aside to speak to them and explain we booked and they were expecting us. Don't say it's too busy now.
As the night went on, it was just far too busy and far too hot.
I've been here many times before but this was by far the worst night I've had here. I won't be coming back, I'm afraid. We had about 15-20 people with us and we were treated appallingly.
Well it looks nice but me and my friend sat down to eat and a mouse was running around under our table the bar staff took no notice at all put us right off our food! Wonder what the kitchens are like!!
We went for Sunday lunch . We arrived just before it got busy with the Football crowd . We ordered food early and had a great booth for our group . But that’s where the good stops ! Some of our group good the wrong order , beef was served to someone who ordered toast chicken , no sauce on the sandwich as per menu description, the tapas took almost an hour, one persons order forgotten totally , and then after waiting 45 minutes for a pizza we had to cancel as it was just going in the oven . We did get a refund for it . Friends who ordered coffee and tea early in ournaitting had finished their food and had to go
Back up to the bar to ask if they could get
Their beverages . I would
Say the restaurant and bar was understaffed with only one server for all the tables , and it got too busy for him to handle all the serving .
Overpriced and poor quality
Ordered the Beef pie with seasonal vegetables and creamy mash. When it arrived my first thought was that it didn't look very appetising and certainly wasn't worth the £12 I had paid for it, but I thought I'd give it the benefit of the doubt. However, the pie crust was so hard I couldn't get my knife or fork into it. The creamy mash was a spoonful of not very creamy and only luke warm mashed potato. The seasonal vegetables consisted of a small spoonful of mixed veg, which apart from a few peas was unrecognisable as vegetables as they were very small diced veg of two colours, one beetroot colour and the other a lighter shade but both completely tasteless so I have no idea what they actually were. Unfortunately I paid in advance otherwise I probably would have sent it back after a couple of mouthfuls and eaten elsewhere. But instead, as I was hungry and on my way to an appointment I decided to eat what I could especially as there wasn't much on my plate to start with. I did leave all the pastry as there was no way I could even cut it.
As I left I did tell a member of staff how disappointed I was and why (just so they were aware how bad it was and to prevent it happening to others) but they didn't seem very bothered and just offered me a free drink. However I declined and left.
Only had 3 bar staff on was very busy, waiting so long to get a drink. One of the male staff was so so rude I'm surprise no one knocked him out. Having said that the music was very good.
Lovely setting and place but the food took over an hour to come (making us late for our day out) and it was overpriced for what it was.
If i could I would give this place no starts absolutely appalling behaviour by the door staff and one bartender "manager" last Saturday night. I have been left with bruises from the door man who followed me into the toilet and after I came out of the cubicle dragged me out in front of the female toilet attendant with my top over my head and only when the male attended asked him what he was doing he said "fuck this" and dropped me to the floor!! This was all over a disagreement with another female who we had asked to stop pushing and shoving on a dance floor that was not crowded at the time. When we asked what we had done wrong we were told by 3 men "If you don't leave we will drag you out of here". But photos have been taken, police have been called and complaints have been put forward to Islington Council Licencing department and SIA for the doormen. I have never experienced behaviour like this and will never return here again!!
I had my drink spiked here. I was very ill in the bar. My husband contacted the manager and he finally called us , said they would check cctv but heard nothing else from them. They took 15 mins to even say I hope your wife is ok. I think I may have lost an earring there too, (looks like a silver sparkly wing) in case you are reading this. Please let me know if you have it!! Altho I won’t hold my breath as communication isn’t your strong point.
After ordering 2 drinks at the bar we were informed by the manager that they did not accept Scottish bank notes We are in the UNITED Kingdom ! Left without a drink on principal.
