The Voyager Academy re-opened as Queen Katharine Academy in September 2017, after joining the Thomas Deacon Education Trust. To recognise this fresh start, an official new Facebook page has been created.
Please follow our new page to keep up to date with the latest news and information about the Academy, as this page will no longer be updated.

Uniform Update: We are pleased to inform you that we have now received delivery of the new school uniform and will be able to distribute it to students tomorrow. We are genuinely sorry about the delay and again offer our apologies. Boys and girls wishing to wear trousers tomorrow should arrive in their trousers and white school shirt. Girls wishing to wear a skirt should arrive with a white school shirt and suitable legwear. During the day students will then be provided wit...h their additional uniform. Staff will be on hand to assist with fitting and sizing as appropriate. Once again may we apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding and co-operation with this situation that was out of the Academy's control. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any further questions. Scott Hudson, Principal

Congratulations to all of our students on their fantastic GCSE results today! 34 per cent of our students achieved grade 4 or higher, the equivalent of A*-C, in English and maths, 12 percentage points higher than in 2016.
We are delighted with these results which are a testament to our students who have worked incredibly hard and have been supported by dedicated and committed staff. We would like to wish all students the best for their futures.
It is evident our new partnership with Thomas Deacon Education Trust (TDET) is beginning to have an impact and we look forward to building upon this in the future as we strive to make further improvements as Queen Katharine Academy.

User

We achieved our best ever set of Post-16 results this year. Forty-nine per cent of students at the academy received the top A*-B grades, an improvement of nine percentage points on last year’s results!

User

We would also like to give a special mention to our top performing students, all of whom achieved outstanding grades!
A big well done goes to Michael Delaney, Nidah Khan, Kate Schneider, Josephine Williams, Kirsty Potter and Kamilah Rashid.

User

Congratulations to our fantastic students who collected their post-16 results today! You have all worked so hard and made us very proud. We wish you the best of luck for the future! #ALevelResultsDay

Our students enjoyed the rest of Activities Week last week. Here are some more photos of our Year 8 class getting involved in everything from music workshops to celebrations of Australian and Spanish cultures!
We are now on our Summer break so we hope everyone has a fantastic rest period and comes back next year refreshed and ready to learn, as we reopen as Queen Katharine Academy.

Our students are enjoying their Activities Week! Here are some Year 7 and Year 8 students, who created trolls during their activity day with the Art and Photography team.
Activities week is an opportunity for subject teams to work with whole year groups of students for an entire day – to provide them with an alternative experience of our subjects, one which is exciting in a way that isn’t always possible to achieve in a usual lesson timetable.

It's Activities Week this week at The Voyager.
Activities week is an opportunity for subject teams to work with whole year groups of students for an entire day – to provide them with an alternative experience of our subjects, one which is exciting in a way that isn’t always possible to achieve in a usual lesson timetable.
As part of the week, our Year 9 students had an investigation day in Science, where they had to solve a crime using a series of experiments, including fingerprint analysis.

We are delighted that one of our fantastic sixth form students, Kate Schneider, was judged joint 'Young Achiever of the Year' at the Pride in Peterborough Awards on Tuesday. Well done Kate!
Kate was selected for her exceptional achievement of being offered places at three renowned performing arts schools, for which she had to undergo a very tough application process. Kate hopes to go on to become a stage manager for touring west end productions, due to her passion for musicals.

User

There are good and bad point but all in all it's a good school

User

Love working there

I used to actually be a pupil here a few years ago, I am now 23. I can honestly say I have never seen so many disrespectful children after school! They cram the buses full of themselves and their very foul attitudes. They are saying things they shouldn't even know the meaning of! They are wearing The Voyager uniform so they are still the responsibility of the school! As for leaving school at 3.05pm?! It's a complete joke.
