Wow, got to be the best roast I’ve ever eaten in a pub.
Just popped in on the off chance this evening (22nd April).
Lovely and relaxed
Wonderful spacious revamped outdoor area - felt like we were on holiday in the evening sun. Friendly efficient staff. I had heard a few negative things but the landlord was very hospitable and the snacks we had were lovely.
Went to a drinks party last night at the Waggon, the staff were very attentive and the garden was great for a party, big thanks to all for such a lovely evening
Week after week we have lunch at the Waggon & Horses, they serve us some amazing dishes and desert! Staff have always been friendly in a professional manner. Will keep going.
We had a lovely evening, food was great and we were so well looked after by Owen, brilliant service, would definitely recommend to everyone. We ate in the garden which is beautiful, will definitely be returning.
WE WILL BE BACK. Well that's as long as they'll have us.
Can't fault this place. Excellent service. Excellent food. Excellent wine.
We were a bit unsure at first as we have had a bit of a nondescript meal here a long time ago. But you know when you think. Let's give it another try. Best thing we did.
We believe it's under new management since we last came and it is for the better without doubt.
Chef knows how to cook properly and the staff have the right level of attention to make it a relaxed meal to remember.
If you are thinking of going..... Don't think.... Do.
Thankyou from all of us.
This pub/eatery is in new hands, and it was excellent, The hosts and their staff are really professional, and balance the friendliness without being intrusive brilliantly. The food is very good and the spacing in the restaurant is wide enough (unlike others that try to cram in as many tables as they can) to give you a sense of privacy in your conversation. I will definitely be going back there.
Saturday afternoon, good music, great company, lovely pub. You've got to see the garden!! At last, a local we can be proud of
Popped in for a drink.... first visit. Has been refurbished beautifully. Lovely bar area and lovely garden. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Will definately be going back to try the menu next time
Met for a couple of drinks last night. Best burger I be had for a long time. Think I've found my new local
I came here 19.4.18 (yesterday) with a friend. Lovely outside seating area, delicious food and a great atmosphere, friendly, helpful and polite staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and drinks. We will definitely be back here 1000% and next time we will bring the rest of our friends :) Thank you for a lovely experience. Best wishes
Stephanie
Great food. Amazing service. All round a great place. I proposed to my partner here and the staff were so supportive and welcoming. Definatly visit again
Fantastic to see the rise and rise of the Waggon! Great burgers, Fish & Chips and don't get me started on the Scott Egg with bacon jam!!! #Yum! Beer isn't bad either!!! :)
Fabulous lunch - sat in the garden under an umbrella, overlooking the fields and horses. Delicious food, excellent service, great menu. Will definitely be coming back!
Excellent environment for a meal and a few drinks. Warm and comfortable with great service. Food is good at a reasonable price too. Busy but not crowded on a Wednesday. Recommended
Always a pleasure to eat and drink here. Staff are so incredibly helpful and polite even when it is busy. Although I live in Manchester it feels like my local ever time I visit. Loving the new decor (inside and out) and have yet to try everything on the menu as I keep going back to the butternut squash risotto!
The waitress was adorable and very polite and welcoming , such a shame the owner and the regulars vulgar language whilst we are eating Sunday dinner .... nice venue nice food would prefer to dine without the offensive language
Service was very poor. Food-average for the money. Food came on a chopping board, rather than a plate and the fries in a watering can!! I wasn't even provided with a knife and fork . Won't be visiting again.
Took 12 people for lunch there yesterday which we booked last weekend. We had no service whatsoever, after half an hour the waitress said could I go to the bar for drinks, so I did to which I was told “it’s not really my job”.
I asked for menus, they had 5 for us to share, and hen we waited over an hour for the food.... well nearly all of it. We were then left another 45 minutes with no drinks and no offer of clearing the table..... we then gave up and decided to go home for pudding as we had a birthday cake. And had been in the restaurant over 2 hours.
When I asked politely to see the manager I was left waiting for 16 minutes, I walked outside to see her sitting down smoking!
When I complained she turned her back on me and walked away....
Disgusting behaviour and we walked out after the waitress apologised on her managers behalf!? We will not be going there again which is a shame after 30
Years!
The worst meal I have ever experienced!
