We go in here all the time, not to eat but to drink.

The bar staff are superb, friendly and helpful.

The real ales are changed regularly, my personal favourite is the Ghost Ship but there is always a good, well maintained selection.

Very friendly staff, great food and great service, lovely gardens overlooking the river.

Today we had a fabulous jerk chicken skewers on mango and pineapple salsa and a crab pot with avocado and focaccia bread. They are both amazing starters which go down well mid way on our cycle ride. See you soon again!

Sunday early evening - busy, warned that food would be 45 mins but well worth the wait, potted crab and bruchetta was magnificent. We both had scampi and chips really decent portion, lovely chips. Dessert was salted caramel bar, smashing and cheesecake, slightly too much red berry compote for me but delicious. Staff friendly and helpful, plenty of space around the tables and a non smoking section outside. excellent venue and the live music was an added treat.

Always make an effort to pop in when visiting family. Nice and comfortable inside and out. Perfect setting for sunny days. Always have the sharing platter as it's a nice selection of food, at good value.

We went in as we don't live in ware and were looking around, it looked inviting, I am ceoliac so first thing was do they do gluten free food, the chap was very helpful and when we ordered nothing was too much trouble, the food was nice and we had a nice cup of tea after, I would visit again

Nice selection of drinks. Food looks good, but I overheard the bar staff saying there was a 45 min wait for food and sandwiches. Not enough staff on busy weekend's comes to mind.

It’s the best setting ever! We sat in the ‘beach hut’ which is a covered area outside. There is a trunk with blankets and cushions (if needed) and free duck food. My dinner was delicious but there were a couple of gripes from my daughters, regarding hard food that may have been over cooked or microwaved. One glass had pink lipstick on it and all the glasses were cloudy. Possibly a dose of rinse aid could put that right. The pros outnumbered the cons and will likely return. Perhaps next time I can give 5 *

Not best, items missing from our order. Long wait between courses. Steaks not best quality.

Fabulous sunny afternoon, this pub is a great choice for a drink. However the food is a let down. My husband ordered the superfood salad, non of the superfood ingredients were on the plate, so a boring salad - sent back. Instead butternut squash linguine - dripping in oil, whole cloves of garlic and again missing ingredients - sent back and went hungry. I had scampi and chips, was fine so I think the chef is only up to cooking things in a deep fat fryer.

Everything ordeeed was on the cold side ... underwhelmed to be honest - tasted microwaved rather that freshly pan seared ; salad limp and waitress miserable ....

We waited well over an hour for our food..... and apart from the fish and chips that was ordered the other 2 dishes were very poor!! Lasagna was burnt at the bottom and tiny with a few chips on the side that l had to pay extra for!! And the hunters chicken was a dried up piece of chicken and lots of chips to fill the plate up........ terrible meal. No apology for the wait or the lateness of the food and I will never go back or recommend it to anyone !!! Avoid this place if your hungry and enjoy a good meal.

Sorry but when on earth is it acceptable to get 6 pieces of stuffed pasta for £10 with a smudge of sauce. Was tepid warm and terrible food portions and taste. Highly DON'T recommend.

SO I was looking forward to "Treating" my partner and two children to a meal out but the services was unbelievably poor on a Friday afternoon.

There was two waitresses on duty, A young dark haired girl who was pleasant and seemed quite smiley and happy. This girl is an asset! Then there was an older blonde woman who gave the impression that she did not want to be there at all. Not once did she smile nor engage in any way. Upon arrival she could see us possibly requiring some assistance but hid in the waitress area. She was almost throwing the condiment tray back into its storage area. Credit where credit is due, She did hold open a door for someone with a tray of drinks.

The Felt tip pens for the kids to colour in their menus were all dry. The Vegie stick starter for the kid's meal never arrived. Food was good and arrived in good time. Really disappointed with service!

Possibly the worst food & service I've ever had in a pub/restaurant. Food wasn't even mediocre. One starter got sent back which we were still charged for, portions were child size for over priced tepid reheated crap. No table service for food or drinks despite being a party of 13/14 people. We tried to order deserts at 10:05pm but was told the kitchen shut at 10pm, not one member of staff made the effort to inform us of this beforehand. I dread to think what the service is like on a sunny weekend ..... Tuesday night was bad enough. Needless to say none of us will be rushing back.

Ordered a ribeye steak which turned up stone cold with a side of half cooked chips. Was super hungry so scoffed it down and 20 mins after finishing my food the peppercorn sauce for my steak and onion rings turned up. Will not be eating here again!

Just been for a meal and my friend found a moth in her salad! Absolutely disgusting and to make it worse they weren’t even apologetic. All they offered was a free dessert or drink. Will never eat here again.
