The Way Of Heaven & Earth School - Traditional Taoist Life Arts

The only School of Tao Arts in the region. Recognised by China (ICKF; 1987). Not-for-profit Traditional Chinese Taoist Arts club for health, fitness, longevity and self- defence, based in Norwich. Established in Norfolk since 1975.

Specialising in Taoist Kung Fu for health and practical self-defence (Wed's 7. 30pm - 9. 30pm) & T'ai Chi Chu'an and Ch'i Kung (energy training) on Thursdays (beginners 7. 30pm - 8. 30pm / Advanced 8. 30pm - 9. 30 pm)

This school (longest running with over 40 years in Norfolk) is friendly and welcoming, being suitable for all abilities. The Dao Quan class has a highly developed syllabus with gradings only taking place when the student is judged ready (no pressure to rapidly progress). Classes start with two thorough warm-ups (reflex development, stretching and strengthening) followed by grade-specific training.

The T'ai Chi Chu'an beginners class teaches students to relax and develop their inner energy ('chi') whilst learning a uniquely developed form, encompassing balance, flexibility, self defence and more. Ch'i Kung (energy training) also includes a Baduanjin set.

The advanced T'ai Chi Ch'uan class includes deeper study of the form and it's self defence applications, ch'i elements and more, a sword form and a staff form plus an even more in depth focus on Ch'i Kung for health and enhanced skills.

The club also runs a class in Drayton (T'ai chi for Health - Thursdays 10am at the Bob Carter Centre, NR8 6DW) and also has classes in other areas.
