The Wedding Shop

Horrible customer service and customer profiling.
Immediately my sister and I walked in the lady at the front gave us a displeased look. When we walked in and agreed that if we weren't able to see the dresses that day that we could make an appointment and come back another day. We then asked about bridesmaid dresses to which she asked what the budget was and we replied that we did not have a budget as of yet. We wanted to see some so we could then put a budget on. She then led us to the corner of their store with 3 different type of dresses and proceeds to let us know that these are the cheapest costing £100 and then said "the ones upstairs are more expensive" and didn't even bother to ask if we wanted to see them. Utterly disgusted by the customer service and I would like to go back in there and ask why she had this preconceived idea that our budget was £100 and under. I believe the customer advisors in store are meant to provide good customer service. When I next have time I will call and ask to meet with the manager and the employee that was so rude however we will definitely not be spending any of our money in that store, which is sad because the dresses on their website were amazing. I wish I could rate lower than 1 star if I'm to be totally honest.

Very well appointed shop on the high street. Lovely and roomy with lots of space and nice and bright. Felt instantly comfortable with the staff who were very welcoming and professional, found exactly what I wanted and nothing was too much trouble! Fabulous choice of the most beautiful gowns. Sadly I wasn't shopping for a wedding gown but a Mother of the Groom outfit but they made me feel very special!

Visited The Wedding Shop on Saturday to try on a Mother of the Bride outfit my daughter had seen on their website. I had driven 132 miles and was feeling very nervous because I was on my own! Suzy was AMAZING, she made me feel very relaxed and was fantastic in helping me take photos, telephone and facetime my daughter and friend. Nothing was too much trouble. I am happy to report that everyone loved the outfit. It needed altering so Suzy then went to a lot of time and trouble to pin the outfit for me so that I could see how it would look after altering. All the staff are very warm and welcoming, very much a great team! I am already looking forward to going back to have my fitting. Thank you so much Suzy for putting me at my ease and making it such an enjoyable experience for me. I would highly recommend any bride to be or Mother of the Bride to visit this wonderful shop.

Upon arrival got greeted by the delightful Suzy. She took us to our private room and had got dresses ready for me to try on and to my surprise I found the dress I was after. I can not praise Suzy enough. She was very attentive, Patient and really put me at ease.

I would highly recommend to all future brides to go to the wedding shop and have a joyful experience.

I visited yesterday with my two daughters one of which was 6yrs old. They were very professional, helpful and sounds silly but made us all feel welcome, even though we hadn't made an appointment. I must say the Mother of the bride outfits were amazing and would really recommend these are looked at! We brought my eldest dress which was being altered for her from a sale selection which was also really fantastic value - Thanks again Nicola and her team. Roberta who also feel in love with all of your shoes!
