We stayed for 1 night while visiting oxford. Room was nicely decorated, very comfy bed. Dinner in restaraunt highly recommended as food was delicious (we had the halibut and slow cooked pork belly dishes). Only thing that disappointed us was the towels - would be nice to have full sized bath sheet. We'll be back to stay again one day.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at the Westwood. The lovely staff could not have done more for us and our room was spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. The location was perfect for us, close enough to be a quick and easy trip into Oxford and far enough out for a peaceful stay. Will definitely be returning.

We got beautiful room with balcony access to the garden in the back. Very nice and well-maintained facilities. Pleasant service. Good breakfast.

We DJed at a wedding here in August. Anthony was a pleasure to deal with and the night was just fantastic! Professional, friendly staff and a perfect venue for a wedding! SM Discos x

Really lovely hotel, very laid back. Stayed one night, wished it could have been longer. Room clean although the bathroom drain could have done with a clean as a stale scent. Food was lovely, in a lovely settings, spent the evening relaxing on the patio /gardens area. Staff were helpful, nothing was too much bother. Lack of internet , phone signal , hard when needed to keep in touch with things at home.

I had an absolutely amazing wedding here!! So relaxing and just what we wanted!! The place, food, people and gardens were perfect!! Drew and Faye did so well. We are both very happy!! Me and my husband opted to have a very simple wedding but drew wouldn't have any of it and pulled out all these extra little finishing touches for us free of charge. And it went with our colour theme, the place looked beautiful, I've recommended the Westwood to so many of my friends who are soon to be wed. I really don't have anything bad to say about the place. So thank you again xx

As a Wedding Photographer the venue just says it all, every shot has a wonderful backdrop from the neat lawns to the rustic grass leading down to the stream. The inside rooms are also welcoming, decorated well with a warm and friendly feel.



What makes or breaks a venue in the end is the staff, and they are all wonderful with Drew at the helm and Katie along with the rest of the staff are friendly and approachable regardless of the issue.



All in all a fabulous venue and one I've been lucky to shoot at several times over the last couple of years ... Looking forward to the next one!

A lovely stay at the Westwood. The staff were very helpful and the kitchen was very accommodating for various allergies etc. The location was perfect since we could enjoy the large garden but still be close enough to all the Oxford sights.

We got married here in 2014, we bought a wedding package which was great because practically everything was covered at a fixed price. The hotel was certainly a lovely setting for a wedding, with a nice big garden perfect for photos, and the children enjoyed playing outside. The hotel staff all worked tirelessly to prepare the main room for our ceremony and then turn it around ready for the wedding breakfast. Everything looked immaculate and all our guests enjoyed their food.



Drew, the hotel manager, and his PA Faye were very helpful at all stages of the planning process and helped to make it as stress-free as possible. Most importantly, on the day the staff just handled everything and we were able to relax and enjoy it.



I would highly recommend this hotel for weddings. I did extensive research and this was the most reasonably priced package for 100 people I could find in the Oxfordshire area.



The hotel bedrooms were very nicely decorated and it was nice that they were all a bit different, with their own character. The bar and restaurant are also a nice place to be, if a little quiet at times.



The only negatives are the fact that it's a few miles out of the city centre, doesn't have a spa, and is quite expensive. There are enough positives to compensate though! All our wedding guests said what a great venue it was, and how it was good to have so much space inside and outside the hotel. Everyone really enjoyed their food too!

Wish the room had been a little bigger for the price but apart from that the rooms were very clean and functional. Breakfast was amazing . Our highlight was the friendly South African bar man gr8 service .

I didn't stay at the Westwood as I'm a local but attended a wedding there. The venue is perfect for this as it has a generously sized events room which is used for both the ceremony and celebrations. The patio and lawn area were perfect for a summer wedding and using the meadow and woodland as a backdrop for the photographs added some real class.



Be warned though the bar prices are a bit steep!

A lovely hotel, the evening staff was exceptional, so friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was very nice, good decor but the bathroom is outdated with a leaky shower head that sprayed everywhere. Also there was no phone signal which meant I couldn't catch up on phone calls or emails but I rather liked this fact as it gave me a break. We plan on staying again, beautiful setting xxx

My partner and I stayed fo just one night last weekend. We had a lovely stay, the staff are amazing and food was very good. Rooms need some light maintenance and bed was a very small double bu all in all a really plesent stay. Would recommend.

Breafast is okay. The rooms are a disaster. We stayed only one night over the weekend and it was enough. We were given a very small room at the ground floor. It was extremely warm - as the heating had been set to max for hours and hours. There was only one pair of towels, the heating control knob was broken, the door to the balcony was locked. When I told the reception about the unbearable high temperature in the room, she advised me to open the window to get some air in but then offered to move us elsewhere. We were then given room 4, which was another disaster. High temperature in there as well, a short TV cable that does not allow to see the TV comfortably when on the bed, the door to the balcony locked, the room's door's handle broken, the heating control knob broken and, suprise!, a big red stain on one of the (very dirty) cushions on the bed. We were then given room 3, which was okay, besides the fact that the room to the balcony was locked as well, so the receptionist had to open it for us and we could not lock it during the night.

Breakfast was okay.

The location is very far from the town centre. Be aware that at night the footpaths on the outside roads are unlit and dangerous. Take a bus or a taxi to get there in the dark. We will never stay there again.
