We had a great Fathers Day meal. A day early but who cares. Food was great. Service was friendly and extremely helpful with our Grandchild as we had to change the highchair. The outside area by the river is fantastic.

My partner and I have been coming to the Weyside for 10 years now and it seems to evolve and improve with every year that passes. They recently introduced the Burger shack on the side and all the tables approx 30 with room for 8 on each, were full. This pub is Awesome...absolutely beautiful setting, amazing food, and lovely, friendly professional staff! I had a burger from the pub itself the other night as the shack was closed and wow did it taste good! All the food on the menu is delicious.

User

Lovely staff & manager and friendly service!! Lovely veggie roast and selection of beers!

User

Lovely riverside..Youngs pub... that does great BBQ food too

User

Came for a lunch with friends recently without a booking but were swiftly seated and welcomed with delicious food and drinks! Would highly recommend, plus the location is an absolute bonus, will definitely be returning with many more friends for summer drinks on the river!

User

Amazing ploughman’s

The scotch eggs are to die for!!

User

great place lovely location

If this was my place I'd replace the wooden fence with a glass one so you don't feel so isolated from the river and I get a better section of beers/lagers in too, oh and place a note explaining how the outdoor fires can be lit on a cold evening :-)

User

Lovely pub but sadly ran out of burgers and bar was three deep at 6.30pm

We had a drink and moved on Ito Guildford for supper x

User

Fantastic service from the lovely Harry, he looked after us well

User

Watched the England match there on Sunday, nice atmosphere and friendly staff, only thing, £9.10 for a pint of pimms!!!!! Wtf I had to do a double take when the barman said that and he even said that was pricy, the food was really good (roast beef) but I won’t be going back for a night or day of drinking

User

Nice ambiance , the staff worked hard but I think our food stuck on 'the Pass' too long as I'm not a fan of a cold burger and chips , one person in our group of eight had a hot meal which was fish and chips, shame they were so busy for my first visit , would go back to try once more

User

Great location, however the menu is very limited unless you want a burger from the shack! Be prepared to wait! We got there at 12:30, shack didn't open until 1pm. We met for lunch, three couples, we ordered per couple as with the shack you pay as you order. To cut a long story short, by the time the third couples of food was ready, the first couple had finished theirs!! Not good. So location was good, drinks were also good, weather was hot and sunny and company we had was great.

User

We went there just for a coffee. We were impressed by lovely outside area. However my husband had his coffee but as the milk was off we sat outside to wait for mine. I then went in to find mine! When I eventually got it my husbands was cold. So as not to drink on our own we asked for a fresh hot one. So service very slow.

Also no decent dress code for staff. One young girl serving behind bar in a really short skirt, not very professional. Lots of staff around but they kept leaving their post behind the bar!!!!

So.......get a decent attire for staff, make sure the milk etc are all ok to go. Tell your staff to man their posts. AND you bin area along the road where it's supposed to be locked, was open .....It was a mess, very untidy and unkept. Go tidy it up!!!

User

The setting is lovely, but the menu is VERY overpriced - £17 for a beef roast?! The bar is always rammed and takes a decade to get served, along with the glasses being filthy. We wanted to order 2 desserts at 1430 and were informed it would be an hour and a half wait...

I live locally and would love to go to this bar more often, but it’s a shambles.

User

Joke of a place! Typical Youngs pub can’t get served hot Saturday afternoon, chilli festival next door NO staff penny pinching fek’rs avoid like the fek’n plague ££££

User

It was a beautiful day and they were out of food by half four, wanted a peroni and of course they were out of that too, eventually paid £10 for two lagers and then went into town for dinner. A total let down.

User

I have been to this place for a Sunday Vegetarian roast and it was really good! This time I wanted a veggie option on my Birthday and it was poor!! Nice place to have a drink but not very good for a Vegetarian to eat there!!

there is too much meat on the menu and not enough veggie/vegan options!!! Service was so slow for a Monday afternoon!

User

Here for Christmas lunch. Normally the food and service here are good but today i have to say it was a fail. Starter was ok but from there it went down hill rapidly. The main course took over an hour to arrive after the starter plates were taken and when it landed it was simultaneously overcooked and luke warm. Staff were generally surley and disinterested. In summary we paid £75 per head for what was basically a below average Sunday carvery. Next year we definitely will go elsewhere. Do yourself a favour..... give it a miss.

User

FURIOUS is an understatement. Drawn here by the very appealing Burger Shack” Queued for more than 20 mins for a drink. Only to be told they stopped serving burgers 30 mins ago (7:30 ON A FRIDAY). Bar attitude was couldn’t care less. F’ing FURIOUS.
