The Whitby Jet Heritage Centre

Really lovley little place, had a great chat with Imogen who runs the shop about the heritage of whitby jet and had a look at the last victorian jet workshop in whitby. It is compact but informative!

The Victorian jet workshop at the Whitby Jet Heritage Centre was a fascinating insight into world of Victorian craftsmanship. We were given an excellent informal talk on the old workshop from the very knowledgeable assistant. The old workshop was discovered in an old attic and expertly recreated in the heritage centre. The family run business still produces fine Jet jewellery for sale in the shop.
