It’s that time of year where we choose a new charity to support for the next 12 months. Any suggestions? 🤔 Our first charity was Animal Lifeline and last year we donated to Moorlands Dog Rescue. As this money is the proceeds from our Dogs Breakfasts and Dog Dinners we would like it to be an animal charity please 😊

Looks like we’re going to have lovely weather for the annual Egg Hunt! Looking forward to it 😁

We’re chuffed to get a mention in this 😊 It’s an alphabetical list so I reckon that means all seven of us independent little businesses are equally fantastic, as are those that aren’t on the list this time round! 😁 Seems a good opportunity to thank our customers for their support, friendship and for letting us cuddle their dogs!! 😂

Trying a new pie today! “Coriander & Cinnamon Chicken” It’s tender chicken breast with fresh coriander and parsley, cinnamon, ginger and paprika in a rustic glazed shortcrust pastry. It’s rather lovely if we may say so ourselves! 😁

We’ve got a mystery!! I’ve just spotted these lovely little dogs on one of our shelves... but they aren’t ours! I’m assuming someone has “rehomed” them here! Thank you whoever you are, they are fab and they’ll be well looked after 😁

(UPDATE- We’ve just tried a really good vegan version so we’ll be serving those too 😁) Our fantastic chef Hayley is a bit of a whizz when it comes to pancakes! They are AMAZING!! We’ll be serving them tomorrow, just £3.50 for a generous portion topped with lemon and sugar or maple syrup 😊

A FANTASTIC evening with the wonderful Creative Flamingo creating our very own unique Fairy House! Can’t wait to see it in the garden this summer 😊

It was a very sad today as I said goodbye to the beautiful Pixie, our friend for fifteen years. It wouldn’t have been possible for me to be there at such an important moment if wasn’t for the fantastic team (official and unofficial!) who didn’t bat an eyelid about coping on a Saturday morning without a chef and could not have been more professional, flexible and supportive. Thank you all, you’re amazing 🙂

Went to try the vegan options - fantastic choice and really lovely staff. Had the vegan breakfast and the vegan sausages were delicious. Will definitely be heading back to try more of the vegan mains!

We would like to thank Teresa and her husband at The White Hart for making our Wedding weekend a memorable one. We booked all 8 bedrooms for family and friends for our Wedding at The Ashes. The White Hart is on The Ashes suppliers list and we highly recommend you use them! Having a B&B rather than a chain hotel made the world of difference as we were able to mil about with no concern of other guests. The service was 5* and we would like to thank you both and all of your wonderful staff for your hospitality. The breakfasts were amazing, the buffet on the Friday evening has been mentioned by everyone and the kids meals were perfect. We would also like to thank you for being so considerate with the kids (as I know we're a large bunch!). Also, a big mention to housekeeping who made each and every room/bathroom immaculate for our stay.

It's been wonderful! And if were ever back in Leek we know where we'll be booking to stay!

We hired the tea room for a sit down meal for 33 people for a 70th birthday. The service, food and hospitality were perfect.

This is how cafes should be done; a great menu including light to roast meals, attentive service, and restful surroundings. And dogs are welcome and have their own menu! I’ve had a lovely freshly made sandwich with side salad, coleslaw, and crisps today. And tomorrow? That roast - with a glass of wine. Why not?!

Stopped off here today with 2 very large wet to the skin dogs, we were provided with towels, water and treats for them, nothing was to much trouble, thank you for being so warm and welcoming, will definitely be returning, hopefully in a dryer day! The coffee was good too �

Popped in today to have some breakfast with my 7 month year old son, and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating for the both of us and the food was lovely! �

Popped in for a cup of tea this afternoon. I cannot fault the staff who wanted to the best for me.

Our first weekend away as a family of 4. This place is a gem! Very warm and welcoming! We stayed in Room 3 which was perfect for us! Staff are so friendly. I would definitely recommend to anyone! Perfect for Alton Towers just 20mins away. Thank you so much from The Cooke Family

Never been here before yesterday, the breakfast was lovely and what made it perfect was that my dog was allowed to come too and have his breakfast which he really enjoyed, thank you and we will be back x

Just returned home from The White Hart after enjoying a beautiful valentines evening meal.

All of the food was gorgeous , well cooked and plenty of it. I had what has to be by far the best chicken Kiev I have ever had. !!

A lovely relaxed and friendly atmosphere too We will definitely be keeping an eye out to book with you again .

When I am in the shop I am always asked by customers and visitors to the the town to recommend somewhere to eat and I will definitely be sending them to The White Hart from now on. Thanks Theresa (and hubby) for hosting a lovely valentines evening - and happy anniversary to you both too.Xx

Just been in to try the New vegan options. I had the peanut sweet potato stew. It was divine. A seperate menu card for vegans with so many choices. Made my day. Back soon. X

Had my post wedding meal here on Saturday 21st May. Not only was the food fabulous but the staff couldn't do enough for us. They were all amazing. Thank you so much.

From the outside it looks about the same as it has for quite a few years but inside has changed so much it looks like a completely different place, they have opened up the back rooms and patio/garden area. If you have not been recently it is well worth a visit because the food is also great, with a great vegan menue as well as a non vegan menue. �

Finally visited this wonderful tearooms! Heard lots of wonderful things and we we’rent disappointed. The wonderful lady who runs this lovely business is doing an awesome job! Awesome lady! Awesome yummy food! Friendly staff! And all in an awesome quirky setting! See you soon with the two pooches for their doggy breakfast 😊

Every time we visit Leek we eat at the White Hart. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent and it is not a problem for them to make adjustments to the meals to accommodate special diets and food choices.

Absolutely fantastic afternoon celebrating a close friends Baby Shower. We were completely spoilt and the private room was beautiful. Afternoon Tea was one of the best I have had especially the lemon drizzle. Such lovely people and so attentive thank you so so much to all involved !!!

A lovely tea rooms with lovely staff! I love how dog friendly they are too! After recently moving to Leek, I'll definitely be paying regular visits!
