Master Class Meal, Tuesday 22nd May, Swiss Style Menu 😋 We really enjoyed making fresh pasta at the last master class and hope you can join us for the next one.

We have a job vacancy for a kitchen porter/pot wash. Duties in this role include overall cleaning of the kitchen, but mainly cleaning of plates and kitchen equipment during service times.

Would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a relaxing, no fuss place to eat. Suits families, groups or just the two of you!! Very attentive staff and an excellent fairly priced menu. We had a large group and spent a great afternoon here �

We had our wedding reception at this pub and we absolutely loved it. From the start Emily and the staff were so helpful and could not do enough to make sure we had everything we wanted. On the day, the place looked stunning and the food was amazing. Everything fell into place perfectly. So many people have commented on how nice a venue we had picked.



We have been here for a few meals since we discovered this pub a few months ago and have never been disappointed. We have taken other people and they have said how much they enjoy the food and you cannot fault the service.



I would recommend The White Lion and have given it a 5 ☆ review.

We had our annual xmas meal here last Sunday

Our family is a mixture of children from 3 years to a Nan in her eighties, everyone of us had a great time. Good food, huge main course & lovely desserts for all. Good wine & great service from the friendly staff. Will come back again really soon. Thanks again xx

We had a recent meal in this pub and it was excellent. Everyone in our party commented on the great food and excellent service. We have been here before and we shall certainly return many times in the future.

We found this restaurant by chance and we were not disappointed. It was well presented, and we were greeted by friendly staff. The menu raised our expectations and I when the food arrived and we tasted it, I was blown away at how fresh and yummy it was. The staff continued to be attentive and the whole experience was so enjoyable. I never tip unless I have to (USA/London), but I couldn't help but tip. Our plates were cleaned and our bellies full. We will definitely be back!

We celebrated my mum's 80th birthday last night. ...all I can say is thank you so much to all the staff.....so helpful right from the start to the finish. ..the area was set up lovely the buffet was presented well and everyone had a brilliant time. ....we will be happy to recommend you to all our friends. ...well done all of you

Visiting Dunstable for a concert we called in to the White Lion at 6.00 pm for food. Despite having 3 parties and other pre-booked tables the manageress found time to accommodate us. Although we just had mains the food was well cooked, well presented and plentiful. Staff were friendly and showed a good knowledge of their menu in offering advice on gluten free options to other customers. If this pub was in our area we would be regulars!

The really friendly, helpful staff took us in (18 of us!) at very short notice when we were let down by our original venue. A nice relaxed late lunch followed, with good food and attentive (but not intrusive) service.

First visit and will not be our last. Food was absolutely delicious- I had the carbonara with added garlic chicken and my husband has the shredded gammon with bubble and squeak. I couldn't eat all mine even with my husbands help. He had a piece of chocolate and lime cake which was served warm with some cream and he loved it. He is also a coffee lover and enjoyed the cup he had. Very friendly young lady serving and very clean and tidy. Have lived nearby all my life and have never visited but will be doing so from now on. Highly recommend

As always it was a fab evening out & even better that it was a family meal for my lovely wife's birthday. I love service & the food is great & always served with a smile & nice to see we had the lovely Gemma serving us again ! #keepupthegoodwork.

Arrived for lunch and was presented with a menu which had lots of choice. I chose the fish and chips - wow enormous fish and the chips were chunky and crispy - Just how I like them. Didn't eat for the rest of the day was so full up. Really good value and served by a very nice polite girl. Would recommend and will come back again.

Warm welcome by staff and delicious food with large portions served on warm plates.

Two small problems were quickly rectified with good grace.Looking forward to a return visit and would definitely recommend.

Having visited here previously and had an excellent meal we decided to go last night for our first "date night" since our second child but soon wished we hadn't as was so disappointing from our previous visits... we both had cheesey garlic bread and fillet steaks - the garlic bread was just greasy bread with not much flavour and the fillet steak, one that had been asked for "medium rare" was served almost "blue" even after sending it back to the kitchen to get re done and the chips were tasteless and cold. Definitely not worth the £26.95!!! When told to the waitress she just said the chefs were sorry. Very disappointing and put us off for going again anytime soon! �

Having recommended this to my family it was ultimately a real disappointment when we came for Sunday lunch yesterday... the food was most definitely below par. The worst French onion soup I have ever tasted (though they happily exchanged this straight away), the kids cheesy garlic bread had such strong cheese on it that they couldn't eat it (even I found it too strong!), and the rest of our meals in general were just not great... with the exception of a great quality rib eye steak (though I asked for medium rare and it came well done!). What I will say is that the staff and service overall was fantastic. In summary, lovely staff but way too pricey for the quality of the food received.

Not our best experience of this pub! Lady manager lovely but the menu was very restricted with most items not available. Very small starter portions. Pudding failed to be what it said on the menu, spotted dick is not cake. If you are open you should have a full menu, poor kitchen planning.

Went there today for lunch. Had all but 2 of the starters and was extremely disappointed. Flatbread couldn't be cut with a knife let alone eating it, the chicken was too dry and over cooked. The garlic bread was tasteless and very greasy, one should have had guacamole but it was just chunks of avocado with a tomato covering. However the mushrooms were delicious but the dip was tasteless. Children's meals were very plentiful but dry chicken. Needless to say I don't think I will be back soon. Which is a shame as it looked nice and the bar girl was really friendly.

Poor poor poor do not go here . The starters were so so Brie was nice but the haloumi tasted like char grill and that's it pulled pork was chewy and taste less mushrooms greasy and again taste less . For our main we had rib eye steak well so they said it was very very thin and very very very salty so we sent it back when it came out again it had no seasoning but that was fine but it was so thin and for £20 I was not expecting frozen hard chips and my husbands boulphoins potatoes were like cardboard and dry will not be returning again
