We have these leaflets at The Whittington Cat, they're being delivered round whitehaven and local areas, it's essential we try and get them to as many, vulerable people, elderly people, people self isolating etc but obviously don't have enough for every house in the area.
Please if anyone knows someone close to them who may benefit please private mail the page or myself amber Sullivan with an address, we can post it to, and our group is doing doorstep check ins ...with vulnerable if you know anyone who may benefit please contact jordan mattinson.

DELIVERY; 11:30am-1pm Whitehaven, Mirehouse, Woodhouse, Greenbank. 12:30-2pm Whitehaven, Kells, Bransty, Lowca, Parton, Distington. 1:30-3pm Whitehaven, Hensingham, Moor Row, Bigrigg, Egremont. 2:30-4pm Whitehaven, Cleator Moor, Cleator, frizington.
If you're on the outskirts you'll be added to the nearest delivery slot, delivery slots overlap as we don't yet know how many we'll get from each area, a more specific time can be given Saturday night/Sunday morning.
Collection will be in 10 minute intervals, if you book the same as sombody else we will contact you to move to the nearest available slot. So please use the correct phone number when ordering :)

SUNDAY ROAST, PLEASE SHARE
Hi all, we've been swamped with messages asking us to start doing food, another 3 weeks of lockdown so let's give it a go! We'll trial it this Sunday with only Roasts, salads, sandwiches, kids meals and drinks (ID will be required for alcohol)
There will be a collection only service from 11am-3pm, the pub will not be open, we will be operating as collection window :) please adhear to social distancing regulations, these will be pre order only and yo...u will be given a time slot to collect.
Deliveries will be 6pm-10pm, i will be working alone to reduce any possibilities of contamination, therefore I'll be running the delivery service as cold food only with reheat instructions, please note it will not be hot delivery food unless i see fit to bring a second member of staff in the future for demand.
I would be grateful if you could have the correct money available for collecting or deliveries, if you need change be assured all change used has been disinfected before use. If you are vulnerable and not able to get out of the house for cash but have ordered delivery please message the Facebook page to arrange transfer. If you use one of the cash machines on Lowther street we have antibacterial hand gel you may use when collecting your food.
Please order through our website, please ONLY select delivery or collection on Sunday, any orders for Saturday or Monday will be cancelled. This is a brand new service and may take a few attempts to perfect so please bare with us, please get in touch with the Facebook page if you have any queries 💕 the website has only just been thrown together and works very well on laptops and computers, some pages might not align on mobile phones yet.
Please try and order tonight or in the morning, as i may close off ordering tomorrow so we're not overbooked, please use the correct phone number as I'll use this to organise your time slot with you so people aren't arriving at the same time.

Please share, some great guidance I've just read.
Talking to one of my guide dog owner friends yesterday has prompted this post as I wanted to make people aware.... guide dogs haven't been trained in social distancing and queuing to get in a shop. If you see a guide dog heading straight for the shop door and not joining the queue, that is what they have been trained to do. They're not being rude or intentionally queue jumping. Also, if you see them walking down the street, remember, they haven't been trained to social distance, so it is up to us, the sighted people, to give them the space. Hope that helps my many guide dog owner friends in these really difficult and challenging times. Xxx

The top 4 from EVERY pub garenteed go to regionals each season....myself, Jason ball, kevin orr and Jack went to newcastle grosvenor casino (sadly will burns qualified but was in hospital and couldn't attend) this free day out was honestly an absolute brilliant day! A chance for us all to win a FREE trip to las Vegas to play for £25,000!! We did brilliant and were one place away from winning the team trophy! Despite being bigstack all day myself and making it onto the redtooth page, i came 21st.
Jack Wilson done phenomenal to come 12th and get a place in national's!! Where 5 players will win a FREE trip to las Vegas for the final!! Sadly his nationals play offs is on hold with what's going on so we wish him best of luck when play resumes!......but I'm writing this to encourage you to join the action!! If you fancy being the average joe that goes from their local pub to las Vegas playing the final then what's stopping you.....80% of our players had NEVER played poker when this league began!!
So it's lockdown, get yourself a pack of cards and get practicing with the family! Start watching youtube tutorials, and if you fancy it we have a virtual league starting online TONIGHT! Only £5 to play! What better way to practice!!
Attached is our current league results with Sean Craggs in front, the league is suspended and when pubs are allowed to open again we'll have 5 weeks of play left before final play-off week. Then we have a brand new league starting! Anyone can join in at anytime so don't be shy! Plenty of time to practice before next season!

Tag any local shops that may need change please. I don't even remember my pub looking this empty when i moved in :( just so people know, there's no money, drink, gamblers, till draws anything left on site now.....we have some change here if any local shops/taxi drivers etc need it, please remember it's safer to use contactless card payments but i know that's not always an option, stay safe everyone 💕
