About The Whyte Melville

The Whyte Melville is situated in the picturesque village of Boughton and captures all the qualities a classic English, village pub.

The Whyte Melville Description

Jeremy and Tess arrived at the pub in May 2013 and after a short refurbishment made some great improvements re-opening the pub to great reviews.

Jeremy and Tess have spent the last 20 years working with hospitality leaders in London, Paris, Geneva and now Boughton!

Our Food

Our Menus throughout the year have carefully sourced ingredients. All our meat is British and comes from award winning butcher Joseph Morris, with all our steaks 28 day dry-aged for the most succulent flavour. Our eggs are free-range with all of our fish are from suppliers who believe, as we do, in the sustainability of our seas.

We work with our kitchen team to find great local suppliers and source new dishes to bringing the freshiest quality pub food possible. Simple and freshly prepared.

Our Drinks

Our cask ales are carefully conditioned over several days before serving. We have a range of draught and bottled lagers and ciders. Our wine list has a range of grapes by the bottle and glass.

I knew getting to the pub tonight would be tough for guests, but has proven equally hard for the team. Our chefs are snowed in and we are unable to offer food tonight. We will be open for drinks until 9pm. See you when the snow melts! Jeremy

User

If you brave the weather tonight, we will treat you to a well deserved 15% off your food bill! This is tonight only and please show me this image to qualify. So get on your skis, snowboard, crampons and see you later. Jeremy

User

4 adults and 3 children for lunch on Saturday. It was absolutely super, specific requests catered for with a smile and the food was excellent. Lovely staff and I have to say seeing the review below I'd disagree with the comments about the manager who could not have done more to accommodate us cheerfully and made us feel really welcome. We will definitely be back and be actively recommending you, thanks again!

User

I had the sea bass which was ok I suppose but to be honest it wasn't what I had expected. I wouldn't have it again or recommend it. My partner had swordfish was nice he enjoyed that.

User

Has been having some great live music with Irish band Donnybrook, and Whiteroom last night, and the BBQ food done by Elvis in the Garden was excellent. Hoping to see more music here soon as great evenings. And possibly with a band called Goodnight from Him, watch this space as they are brilliant..

User

Over the last year they have changed the kitchen and chef and the food has gone down hill. I was in there one Sunday and while I was waiting at least 3 people made complaints.
