Sooooo chuffed to be able to share some photos of a gorgeous shoot that I helped out with back in November.
The beautiful soul that is Lauren Alexander Weddings, Events, Design & Styling asked me if I could bring along some props and give her a hand with styling and so I jumped at the opportunity and I'm so glad I did!!
I wondered how it would work as I'll be the first to admit that I'm the biggest control freak, like my own way ALL the time and am normally a fan of moody, ...darker colour pallets but.....I'm so in love with the photos and so glad that Lauren pushed me out of my comfort zone, making me try something a little different.

Big thanks to Dan of Frome Hardware for sorting me out at such short notice.....as in I thought of it yesterday morning, took it in yesterday afternoon and picked it up today 😃

Just a tad excited to be styling this event and it's looking to be a fab night so make sure you pop it in your diaries. I know the lure of a couple of free beers will appeal to some but you also get to see/meet me and have a nose at what I've done with the place.

Ooopps, Facebook keeps telling me off for not posting and apparently you lovely lot want to hear from me...
Soooo its been a bit of a hectic one. I had a couple of days off last week and went up to London with some total babes to shop, eat, shop, sleep, eat and to watch a certain stage show that may or may not have had lots of lovely men to look at if you know what I mean 😉
This weekend has been crazily busy, as this week will be too, as it see's me getting all the last bits ...ready for the styling of Bowerchalke Barn on Friday.
Beyond excited to finally see the pop up restaurant come to life and I just hope all my ideas fall together nicely and that I can do the owners proud. We have the very very lovely Emily Black photography coming to grab some shots of us hard at work and of the finished decor so I'll share some snaps as soon as.
I'm also working on The Boho Edit and seeing where we can provide 1 day workshops, alongside planning 2 shoots (I know, I know I said I wasn't going to do anymore 😁) and also helping all of my lovely couples too....
So as you can see a very busy time but a very exciting time!!! xx

Very gorgeous new coasters landed on my doorstep this morning.
Am keeping these for a project I have coming up soon but am very tempted to keep them for the house, they're so pretty 😍😃

Doughnut pins for the board in my new office.
My life is now complete 😍

So the first job for today is to finish clearing the van of 5 inches of snow. This is me about half way through, and doing my best not to loose my fingers from the cold and doing my best not to fall flat on my arse 🤣🤣
Bloody love shoot days though even if we're creating a spring inspired shoot when we have the white stuff 😃 xx

So we finally arrived in Wincanton this morning just a little late due to the roads and after using one of Dylan's fruit shoots, that he lovingly left in the car, as screen wash 🙄
We picked up our lovely festoon and fairy lights which were PAT tested this week and stopped in on the beautiful Tessa at Tessa's Tiaras for a chat.
We got talking about how long it takes for her to make certain pieces and I had a good look at some of her collection. I mean, just how stunning are some of these tiaras. I take my hat off to Tessa....she must have the patience of a saint to create these beauties 😃😍

I was in Bristol yesterday with my mum and her friend picking out some more props for the restaurant at Bowerchalke Barn
We've decided to go with artificial flowers/foliage for an arch we're creating, and I have to say how impressed I was with the choice in Dunhelm
I think fake flowers have always had a bit of a bad rep over the years but all 3 of us were pleasantly surprised. Such a cost effective way to add some colour to decor too, particularly in somewhere like a restaurant when it's needed week after week 😍

So so chuffed to say our latest blog post is now live on the website and this time its another interview....with Viet, the founder of Rain and Pines and a fellow wedding stylist.

So our first wedding of 2019 saw us drop some props off at The Gathering Barn yesterday (I know, I'm there a lot at the mo 😄)
The couple are having a big wedding celebration today and so we've helped Sarah & Scott by providing them with a barrel to pop their cake on and our beech bar for their scrummy evening food
I was chatting with Sarah about the plans yesterday as we unloaded the vans and it sounds like it's going to be the best party ever!

laura provides an excellent venue styling service, her attention to detail is top notch an her array of rustic props are delightful! her communication and organisation skills will ensure you have a delightful day, with nothing to worry about yourself.

Wow! Laura supplied some gorgeous props to style our wedding and was our wonderful co-ordinator on the day too. From the beginning she was so generous, warm and helpful, and made us feel at ease. She has been so supportive all the way through and has given some amazing hints and tips along the way. We really are truly thankful for having Laura, our wedding day wouldn’t of been as perfect without her. She showed such a genuine interest in getting everything perfect for us and totally understood our theme, she was only too happy to assist us where ever she could. Well what can I say about Laura, she is a wedding superwoman!! We booked a DIY barn wedding and started to wonder how we were going to bring the venue to life. After some research I found Laura and from then on she became an integral part to our wedding planning! We went from hiring some props to full venue styling and then even hired Laura to be our day co-ordinator! From start to finish Laura is the most professional, enthusiastic and lovely person we had the pleasure of dealing with for the wedding. She brought all of our ideas to life, read my mind about how I wanted certain things to look, had inspired ideas that we loved and was a brilliant sounding board for all things wedding! On the day Laura was an absolute necessity, we didn’t worry about a thing as I knew that she would be thinking exactly what we were! We can’t thank you enough for everything you have done Laura. Your business is such a great idea with the popularity of DIY venues and I wish you every success with it. My advice to anyone embarking on a journey like us, use Laura! It will still be your wedding, with your stamp on it, but Laura will take some of the stress away which believe me is priceless! X

We just got married and we contacted Laura for renting the barrels, vintage books and candlesticks - she went above and beyond for us and left us a sweet card the day after the wedding!
